Brit Marling attended the New York Premiere of “Another Earth” at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema last night.
The relative newbie managed to score the first look from the Preen Resort 2012 collection.
Her tri-colour pink and red t-shirt dress with an asymmetrical split was styled very differently from the model.
The edgy sandals are replaced with satin peep-toe Louboutin’s, and the leather waistband was replaced with a thin snakeskin belt.
I would’ve loved it had Brit kept the runway waistband to complement her peep-toes and LV clutch.

Don’t like this at all, the way it’s styled on her, the edge of the runway look (those sandals/belt are fantastic on the model) has been lost completely, and the plain loose hair is just wrong.
The black belt makes the dress, not just color-wise, but by cinching in the fabric to create a nice line. Take it away and you end up with BLAH.
You would never guess that the runway dress could end up looking middle-aged dowdy, would you?
*sigh*
