Rose Byrne In Zimmermann – Zimmermann 2012 Resort Collection Dinner

Rose Byrne hosted a dinner party to celebrate Zimmermann’s 2012 Resort Collection in LA last week.

The Australian actress opted to wear a knee-length creme dress with an embroidered neckline and patchwork detail through-out.

My first instinct was to dislike the dress, but after a while it started to grow on me.

I think it’s her Nicholas Kirkwood lace platforms which stop me from hating the look.

Despite not hating the dress, I don’t think it’s one of Rose’s finest moments.

I love this look. I’ve been drooling over Kirkwood shoes ever since I saw Sarah Jessica in the blue ones, and I think these go perfectly with this dress. Rose looks lovely.

Normally I wouldn’t like the dress on its own but these shoes make it work. The hair and makeup are def. wrong/too heavy for this summery look.

I think the shoes were a little too much with the dress.

    The dress is Zimmermann.
I like the cut out details at the top..but not the rest of the dress itself..

I agree, the top is beautiful, but the bottom part doesn’t do it for me at all….

Might be a fun maternity dress, but that’s about it…..

the dress is gorgeous, the shoes are lovely but it really needed a belt it makes her look chunky.

Maybe its because I just saw her in Bridesmaids where I thought she looked “rough” that I think she looks really good here and prefer the darker hair. I am not a fan of Trapeze dresses but I like this look but as you said probably because I like the way the shoes work with the dress. Any other shoes and I think the look would not have worked.

I think that the dress is beautiful and that she went for the right shoes. Shame about the make-up; I would have preferred a more summery, rosy palette.

I totally agree on the make-up

I love this on her! She looks so pretty and romantic in the garden. I think the dress is lovely.

Yay! I’m glad you said it, I think this look is beautiful and glad someone else agrees 🙂

So true! She looks wonderful, the dress is beautiful some how bohemian yet modern.

the hair and make up don’t go well with the dress or the venue or the fsct that it’s daytime!!!

Well, it says that it was a dinner so I guess this was shortly before it got dark.

I actually think the red lip saves this look somewhat. Her up-do may not be ideal but at least she had the sense to put her hair up. And while I would NEVER wear this dress, I don’t mind the overall effect too much.
