During Paris Fashion Week I also attended the Georges Chakra Fall 2011 Couture presentation.
The designer showcased a typically high octane over the top collection which attracts celebrity clients such as Queen Latifah, Kelly Rowland, Li Bing Bing and Michelle Trachtenberg.
As expected we saw many fall like colours such as black, chocolate brown, bronze, rich reds and purples, but the sparks came via some bright colours such as tangerine and fuchsia pink.
There was so much variety in this collection from the pleated off-the-shoulder gown with the gold tone cummerbund, a sequined jumpsuit with a pale blue train, a red sequin dress with laser cut-outs and of course the wedding gown which was very different in style to the usual ballgowns.
I really liked the makeup. Gold and purple eyeshadow with rouge lips really popped against the pale skins of the model.
Their hair was pulled up into a tight bun with a single purple floral accent.
Favourites: The finale gown and the purple frou frou gown
Who I See Wearing This Collection: The Country Girls; Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Miranda Lambert, Hillary Scott, and Carrie Underwood plus Katy Perry, Queen Latifah, Emily Blunt, Selena Gomez

The pieces individually are beautiful but it kinda looks a bit disjointed to be considered a collection. Maybe I need to find all the pics from the show?
This collection reminds me of Dallas, the TV show!
Absolutely DIVINE! and I love the purple orchids in the hair…
I really like this. For me, it’s what couture is all about – over the top and fantastical!
It might be the picture, but the model in the tangerine dress is working it! But I agree, it feels a little disjointed, even after looking at the whole collection. But there are some really fun pieces never the less.
Oh my god the blue dress, and oh my god the red dress.
where you in Paris FC?

WOW!!!Absolute haute couture…
FC, you forgot Queen Latifah
