Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge visited the ENMAX Conservatory, Calgary Zoo on day 9 of the Royal couple’s tour of North America in Calgary, Canada today.
Sporting a half-up-half down new hairstyle with tumbling waves, Catherine wore a Catherine Walker Marianne coat-dress with the Queen’s Maple Leaf brooch.
I love the way the coat nips her in at the waist before flaring out on the skirt.
We clearly haven’t seen the last of those nude L.K. Bennett pumps, as Catherine seems to favour them for most events.
I’m going to have to check out these pumps on Saturday, as they must be the most comfortable shoes in the world.
A nude clutch matched her nude pumps.

The coat looks a little old for her I think. I agree with you that the nipped waist is nice, I also like the sleeve length, and the pleated skirt on the coat. Overall though, it’s just so conservative. At least her hair is out of her face………and at least the color of the coat isn’t 1) Navy, or 2) Cream……..
Better but not great
soooo sick of her,I’m sorry but i’m not from England so……..for the rest of the world she’s just a boring dressed woman-my oppinion of course…..
Mine too…..
Well, it´s a start… Two new colours in two days! But those shoes!! Seriously! And what´s with the power shoulders?? The fit there is not particularly flattering…
The coat ages her a bit, but it seems like a good match to her husband’s conservative navy suit. i’m bored with those nude pumps, but they definitely elongate her legs (which are nice and shapely but could use 1 or 2 extra inches). Victoria Beckham could teach any women how to use footwear and poses to flatter one’s legs.
SO glad to see her finally branching out to other colours. I’ve been dying to see her in a red dress. If the Erdem lace dress had been in red that would been sensational. This look however is still nice, got that A/W 11 Miu Miu vibe.
Wasn’t she an ACCESORIES buyer for some fashion brand? Shouldn’t she know how to accesorize, and not wear the same shoes and bag at every event? Just saying….
Such a great point. Never thought of that
She so wasn’t. She got a job because after 5 years people started wondering what was wrong with her so she “worked” part time, 3 days a week to be “available” for her Prince. Anyone with 2 eyes can see that her time in the “fashion world” was just a cover. I am sorry apart from the color this is a NO for me. She needs help and she needs to accept it.
On the second thought, I love that she is jot afraid of same shoes at all events-a regular girl maybe can afford one expensive pair, so connecting to the masses is very appreciated:) I know, I know, you’ll say she has access to more funds that a regular girl but that’s her sustainability contribution. I have no idea how many pairs Mrs. Beckham has but surely enough to stop buying any more And supply a lifetime worth of shoes to all ex-Spice girls
Ignoring the bag and shoes. I quite like this on Catherine.
me2
from top to toe
I would like it if she was 45, it’s too conservative. But the coat is really flattering her beautiful figure.
Her HAIR!! I never get tired of seeing her luscious tresses. Her hairstylist deserves honors and monuments!
Along with her and William’s crest-commercial worthy teeth (see here: http://goo.gl/R2MbO), she has promising career as a Pantene model.
I think she looks too old for her age… Although I like most of her clother and everything.. it seems like she’s fifty..
I agree. My first thought was that the dress is a bit dowdy. I also really dislike the shoulder padding, as it makes the dress look dated.
Agree totally! She would be rocking if she was 50, but she ages herself with that heavy liner and this coat .
I disagree that this is boring. It’s a cute and very flattering shape. It’s a nice bright hue. This is how I would’ve expected her to dress during her trip. Different shoes wouldn’t have killed her but this is definitely progress.
you go, girl
Yup, that pretty much sums it up.
i love it!
Me too! Want that coat. And I’m twenty… I don’t think it’s an old lady coat.
All the things I’d like to criticise about this look aside, I finally found something nice to say about her so I will: This is a really good silhouette on her. It gives her hips and balances out her shoulders nicely.
Please let us now if those pumps are so confortable!^^
Very nice.
I like that she wore red and the maple-leaf brooch on her last day in Canada.
I like the color, and generally I think she makes good choices. She does dress conservatively, but I think she does that because she wants to be classy. She is boring but every ensemble is elegant. Did you notice that the eyeliner is less intense? I like it much better that way http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/118509611/Getty-Images-Entertainment
Those shoes are ultra comfortable and of course nude goes with virtually everything in Summer . Unfortunately due to Catherines’ daily endorsement (or fortunately if you own LK Bennett) they are sold out everywhere! They are a wait list item (they are called Sledge and Sledge2 depending on if you want patent or high shine leather) and apparently will be back in stock at the end of July
Thanks for the info. I have to check therm out when back in stock
I like this the best of her looks on this tour so far, it is more princessy and formal, I can see why some people think it is a bit old but I guess she is trying to be simple and elegant. But whilst we want her to be simple we don’t want boring, this outfit is on the right track. Bit tired of the pumps, shall we call them “austerity pumps”? Can’t wait to see what she wears at the BAFTA event….
“Austerity pumps” – good one! Also, you’re right, this is very princessy, I think that’s one of the reason I like it.
very aging look once again. does she not have a tiara? i havent seen her wear a tiara once during this entire trip. I remember Diana wearing a tiara once in awhile during her first official visits with Charles.
part of me loves it, yet part of me doesnt. the shoes are becoming a little tiresome now.
I like the colour but not the outfit.
Good to see her change up the colour.. she still loks about 35-40
why criticize her just because she wear the same shoes or the same color of shoes?
a great quality for wealth peple is not to flaunt
