Natalia Vodianova didn’t break the dress code for “The White Fairy Tale Love Ball” which was held in France last night, because the Valentino Garavani created this gown especially for her.
The supermodel and host of this lavish bash always wears red to the “Love Ball.”
Her tulle fantasy gown reminded me of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ with a Couture twist.
Under her red hood was a pearl accented tiara which sat on top of her long fishtail plait which was weaved with a strip of red tulle.
Like Anne Hathaway, Natalia also opted for bold red lips.
A red clutch and a pearl bracelet completed her look.

ugh at the plaint.. wow at the gown…
WOWOWOW!
WOW!
I think the plait looks good, but I don’t remember her hair being that blonde. Maybe it was just for the event.
As for the gown; very typical, yet stunning Valentino red gown, which Natalia pulls off very well. I wish the top layer of tulle, which is gathered around the knee, was actually one long layer of tulle into the train instead of doing layers. Just my opinion though
Beautiful!
I love Vodianova, but this is crap.
Yeah, I thought the same thing. The gown and veil look ugly and tacky to me and the plait makes it all that much worse.
+1
Oh.My.God. This is what Valentino couture would’ve looked like if the Maestro stayed in the house. I can’t help myself, I seriously dislike Maria and Pier.
And Natalia looks gorgeous, she pulls it off perfectly.
WHAT was going on at this event that literally everybody had HORRIBLE make-up?! O.o
This outfit – I would’ve liked it, without the veil or the plait. It’s too much and too cartoon-ey/fairytale looking.
Not sure about the dress itself but the overall look is absolutely breathtaking. She iooks stunning. The plait and tiara work perfectly here. Natalia is a gorgeous Russian tsarevna at the ball.
Love love it!
Totally agree about the red riding point, I was thinking the same thing. BDOTW?

OMG!!! hate the veil and the tiara… SO tacky!
The dress is stunning! but I think it would be better if it doesn’t have that layer….
Ditto. Wearing such a long plait on a red carpet/social event is just wrong, regardless of the theme of the event. The plait reminds me of the hideos hairdo Rihanna sported at the Costume Institute Gala last May.
This is my BDotW.
It’s completely over the top, and so is my love for it.
Fail.
i can’t live with the plait, and the tiara. hideous. amazing dress ruined
I have to agree…..especially that horrible plait – waaay too much. I might have adjusted to the tiara considering the event, but that hunk of hair, no!
Wow I love it.It’s so dramatic and just beautifully created also it’s being worn by Natalia who just wears it unlike anyone else could. For me it’s in contention for BDOTY.
She looks absolutely beautiful and what a color! And I like the veil too:) My second BDOTW after Diane
I don’t know if I completely like it. The gown is incredible, but the plait is a bit tacky, but it was the “Fairy Tale Ball” so maybe it’s appropriate. What’s happening to Valentino’s face? He’s a classy man, why he ruins his face like this?
i love red, but this is just way too much red. it looks so bad not even natalia can pull it off.
BDOTW. It’s all so…perfect. My jaw dropped. How could this scene be more perfect? Amazing design house + amazing model/fashion maven + amazing theme = perfection.
Once I was able to drag my eyes from the face that used to be Valentino, I was treated by the sight of this gorgeous dress. I could have done without the braid, but otherwise I think it’s perfect. BDOTW for sure.
Hideous.
My first thought when I saw this was a quote from Ugly Betty’s Fey Sommers (a Anna Wintour look-a-like):
“Black and white Ball? I guess I didn’t get the memo.”
xD
A little too Red Riding Hood for my taste
The veil and the tiara and the braid ruins the whole look. Looks liek a costume, and a bad one. Hate this.
