Daisy Lowe In Elie Saab @ Elie Saab Couture

I was totally floored when I saw Daisy Lowe glide into the Théâtre National de Chaillot for the Elie Saab Fall 2011 presentation earlier this afternoon.

I’m always struck by how beautiful she is and how much taller she is in real life.

She opted to wear a red Elie Saab Fall 2011 long sleeve gown with a thigh-high split.

I didn’t see her shoes until now. The pumps aren’t actually black, but a shimmering bronze/brown mix.

Some sexy strappy sandals would have rendered me unconscious, especially as she’s also carrying a Christian Louboutin leopard print clutch.

Gorgeous, BDOTW contender for me, even if I don’t like the shoes, but I love red gowns and everything which is leopard printed. I also like hair and make up.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE except for the shoes, I agree. Something sparkly and strappy would have been better. That rich shade of red is so sexy and womanly.

She’s a knock out even with those shoes. Interesting that we may be mistaking other colours for black sometimes.

I’m with you Lara, I really don’t get what the fuss is all about with her.

when she looks this good, it shouldn’t matter if she’s overdressed or not. She’s amazing. ok, the shoes are quite boring but other than that, perfection.

I really dont care if she’s wearing a gown to a fashion show (this thing of being overdressed has been quite discussed because of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s promo tour, and most people seem to agree you don’t have to wait for the Oscars to see nice gowns on the red carpet). All I know is that I’ve been dying to see this dress since it was presented, and Daisy has finally made my wish come true. I think she wears it quite well, although I have to admit the shoes the shoes are a bit let down.

      big* let down

    she looks so perfect

I have to say she is someone I don’t “get” in terms of her beauty and fashion sense… maybe I’d need to see her in person as well. I agree that a gown for a fashion show is a bit OTT… What would she wear for an awards show?

    • Fashion Critic July 6, 2011 at 16:32 #

I was much the same, but she is a KNOCK-OUT in real life.

Honestly I always forget until I see her again and I’m like, “wow”

Love this dress–the color, the fabric, the cut. It looks SOOOO comfortable.

      I agree! I think she is a knock-out here

I am not reallly feeling this at all. A gown for fashion show I think it too much and the shoes aren’t making it either.
