Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William continued their North American tour with a visit to the Somba K’e Civic Plaza in Yellowknife, Canada yesterday.
William tried his hand at street hockey whilst Catherine looked on wearing a By Malene Birger Bullet dress with her favorite L.K. Bennett nude pumps.
As always Catherine looks really nice and presentable, but it’s all starting to merge into one or two.
First we had the navy phase, now the beige phase.
Whilst I ‘like’ her looks, I do wish for more variety.

Yes, Kate does always look nice and presentable but it’s becoming formulaic and predictable with her. I think she’s making a huge statement on his trip by indicating that she does not want to be made into a style icon and it ‘s not a priority to her to become one.
I think she is making that statement very clearly so on her part it was a very smart move and mission accomplished
I have to say I understand that she does not want to be a ‘style icon’ but I still find all her looks very bland. It’s such a pity as I would love to see a bit of colour and youth in her choices. She doesn’t always have to wear the same colours and the same styles. She does look classic but that is now becoming boring, such a pity as she is very beautiful.

i love Kate but i must agree its starting to bore me too.
im sure she has a lot of pressure to look a certain way. if i were in her shoes i would be freken out of wearing the wrong thing the world media will attack her.
and for the fact she will get compared to Diana as well.
but even before she was married she was dressed very conservative so i dont think she will change. but my fingers are crossed she changes
but she still looks fantastic and her hair is amazing but again i which she would put it in a bun or something

Nice dress, safe. Shes in a weird situation, no matter what she wears its going to be photographed, the media is obsessed and then can you imagine if she gets pregnant? Its a long road of royal engagements and events ahead of her. I dont think she doesnt want to be a style icon per se, this is very much her style and she is a major influence on Sloanes and the Home counties
set, just not the progressive Fashion crowd. I doubt shes going to change, and to be honest it wouldnt seem natural or very ‘her’.
I think she wants to keep attention focused on the events themselves (not so much her), hence her predilection for almost all neutral- colored dresses. She looks really good though.

Can’t wait for them to get to Cali. She’s been wearing Canadian/English designers in Canada. I wonder if she’ll wear an American or American/English designer in LA. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her in a Victoria Beckham dress in LA.
Did someone tell her she could only take three pairs of shoes with her? All I’ve seen are her navy pumps, those beige ones, and her beloved wedges. If only she wore a brightly colored peep toe..
