Princess Charlene of Monaco In Karl Lagerfeld – Monaco Royal Wedding: The Civil Wedding Service

On Friday Charlene Wittstock became Princess Charlene of Monaco when she wed Prince Albert II of Monaco in a Civil Wedding Service.

She opted for a none too formal look donning a custom Karl Lagerfeld powder-blue corseted chiffon strapless jumpsuit with pleated palazzo pants.

A matching powder blue jacket with one button undone was decorated with Chantilly lace trims on the sleeves.

The Princess opted for both subtle jewels and make-up on her first day as Princess of Monaco.

Later that evening Princess Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert II of Monaco appeared onstage during the Jean Michel Jarre concert celebrating the Royal Wedding at the Throne Room of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.

The Princess didn’t wear her jacket on this occasion; instead she added a stunning gold Tabbah choker with pearl accents.

It’s amazing how the removal of one piece and the addition of another can totally transform a look.

the look is beautiful with the jacket, but that necklace looks like some cheap tat from a market stall.

The necklace looks a bit tacky… I would have liked a wardrobe change for the evening.. but I cant deny that I love the dress..

I can’t wait for all the other updates of the royal wedding!

I like the second outfit, without the jacket, the necklace is beautiful. I saw the religious wedding on tv yesterday, her Giorgio Armani dress was really beautiful. But my favorite was Clotilde Courau, chic and modern at the same time.

She was stunning in both looks.
The jacket was perfect for the civil wedding service and the necklace was perfect for a concert.

    Flawless!

I would love the necklace if it wasn’t for those pearls.

Charlene looks as beautiful as Grace Kelly looked in blue. She looks stunning.

    • anamika July 3, 2011 at 09:48 #

she never be beautiful like Grace Kelly excuse me….she’s she …Grace is Grace a myth!

      • Andreea July 3, 2011 at 10:18 #

I know.Nobody can be compared with Grace Kelly, but i said that this color made justice for both of them.

    Beautiful dress
only problem to me is that she squeezes her azz to smile!
or she can’t smile ….it looks fake…and heartless.

    • Andreea July 3, 2011 at 10:20 #

I think she is a little shy and i believe she felt a little uncomfortable being in the center of attention.

      • anamika July 3, 2011 at 10:56 #

        When i’m shy I smile.
I always smile when people looks at me…because it makes me blush!

she born in South Africa with the sunshing in her heart ….yet she can show the sunshine glowing in her smile

ps look at La Monica Bellucci(seems she had broom stick up her a..)
        bizarre nuh?

        • Andreea July 3, 2011 at 13:32 #

The place where she was born has nothing to do with the fact that she should smile or not and people react different when they are shy.And Monica Belluci, well those plastic suergeries really show on her face.:))

I thought they’re two different dress until I clicked on the picture n see it in the different lighting.. The second one look greenish in this page.. She’s pretty though..

i must be the queen of tack bc i like that necklace. it gives it some pizzazz!

  15. kiwi July 4, 2011 at 08:44 #

Her outfit takes my breath away.. the colour, the softness.. so feminine, she looks years younger than Catherine who seems very boring and looks older than her age

    • tbouchey October 15, 2011 at 21:51 #

I would love know where I could buy this outfit…Its beautiful…

  16. Chocolat July 10, 2011 at 08:25 #

It’s a shame that there are some harsh critisms on such a wedding, jealousy never surprises me.
Bottom line, Charlene was stunning, the necklace was to die for and let’s just wish them all the happiness.
Enough with the negativity for crying out loud and just be happy!!
