Naomi Campbell wore a one shoulder Alexander McQueen ombre floral embroidered dress to the Royal Wedding of Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene of Monaco at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.
She accessorized with an matching fringed shawl, an Alexander McQueen skull clutch and a peach coloured fascinator.
I was starting to tire of seeing fascinators as we’ve had an overload of them since the British royal wedding, but I love how this one complements the floral embroidered and the bottom half of her McQueen gown.
Charlotte Casiraghi: I’ve often wondered what the huge fuss is when it comes to Charlotte Casiraghi, but she did look divine at the royal wedding wearing a Chanel Spring 2011 Couture pink satin dress with YSL sandals and a black veil. It’s not often we see re-runs at a royal wedding, but Diane Kruger wore this dress the second it came off the runway back in January.
Princess Stephanie of Monaco: I’m not a fan of this look as there isn’t anything regal or noteworthy about it.
Princess Caroline of Hanover: This is more like it. I love the lightly embellished details on this ensemble and the hat is the perfect complement. Pink appeared to be the colour most favoured by the guests on this occasion.
Michelle Yeoh: The Asian actress was quite possibly the worst dressed at this event. Who wears peep-toe ankle boots to a royal wedding? Her chocolate brown Azzedine Alaia dress was paired with a pink cloche hat. The look was hideously over accessorized with those pearls. Save the hat nothing about this look appeals to me.
Karolina Kurkova: The Czech model fared only slightly better in Chanel Fall 2009 Couture navy look with an embellished train.
Clotilde Courau: The Princess of Venice and Piedmont wore a Giambattista Valli coral gazar cocktail dress with a black silk flower hair pin. Black accessories completed her look.
Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana of Thailand: The Princess is often seen in the front rows of Chanel and Christian Dior shows during Paris Couture Fashion Week, but on this occasion she opted for something more traditional. The ivory look with gold embroidered details was one of my favourites at this event as it’s so beautifully rich with heritage yet still very modern.
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden: The Princess wore a very pretty draped aqua dress with matching stacked pumps and a matching clutch, but was severely let down by the ‘just got out of the shower’ hair.
Princess Maxima of the Netherlands: I also loved this orange look worn by Princess Maxima. It is such a beautiful warm colour and I love that she was bold enough to wear a large hat even though she has that large rosette detail on her shoulder.
Princess Mette-Marit of Norway: The Princess also opted for a pink Valentino Fall 2011 dress which matched her Louboutin’s and floral hairpiece. She added a contrasting turquoise clutch to complete her look.
Princess Madeleine of Sweden: Did anyone else think of Karen Millen the second they saw Princess Madeleine’s dress?
