Leighton Meester stole our hearts when she took to the red carpet to attend the 14th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala in this stunning Elie Saab tulle ruffle dress powder blue dress back in October, which is from the Spring 2011 collection.
The actress looked incredible in her tulle cocktail dress which features subtle sequin detailing and a thin satin ribbon tied into a delicate bow around the waist. She was the first celebrity to wear a look from this beautiful collection.
Leighton played up the sweetness of the dress by pairing it with matching baby blue suede heels from the same collection plus a glitter-embellished Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch.
She wore her hair in a pretty up-do with a few strands of loose curls left out and kept her makeup soft, wearing a coral shade of lipstick.
Astrid Munoz wore the same dress to attend the ELLE Awards 25th Anniversary in Madrid, Spain last night.
The Puerto-Rican model took a decidedly different approach, wearing her hair in a centre-part bun and pairing the dress with electric blue Charlotte Olympia ‘Paloma’ platform pumps and an oversized cocktail ring and statement earrings.
It’s hard to top Leighton in this dress considering how lovely she looks, but she wins for me because I think Astrid’s hairstyle is too severe for such a sweet dress and definitely think her shoes were the too stark in contrast to her soft delicate dress.
Leighton worked this pretty, lady-like look perfectly and therefore wins by a long mile.

This is an ” Oh No She Didn’t ” moment.
from autumn to summer both wore the dress to adapt the weather
But on this site am tired and have deceided to quit critising shoes …helas I don’t know what shoes these ladies have…or in fashion in stores in thier respective towns or countries that available at that time or week …and don’t know their mental humors at this respective time why they wair this shoes or not want to copy the models shoes!. ….Dressing up is all about one’s state of mind and one’s personality too. Don’t you all think so on this site?
Both hair styles looks nice. both make up looks nice.
Nice to see differentt women with different body shapes and size looking at their best.
Leighton wore shoes of the same hue as the dress and carried a clutch so looked more together. Astrid does look good in the dress but her hair style is to sharp when wearing such pretty whimsical dress and although i love the CO ‘Paloma’ heels; the blue is too vibrant and does not compliment…and where is her clutch at this red carpet event?
Leighton all the way!!! She has that sparky smile that takes the dress to a whole new cute level!
Lately, Leighton can do no wrong on the red carpet.
astrid, i love that her shoes stand out.
Me too. I much prefer her hairstyle because I always felt Leighton’s hair was a little fussy for a dress and shoes that already have a lot going on. I also like Astrid’s lipstick. The dress just looks cleaner on her. The unembelished shoes and the clean hairstyle let the dress do the talking.
I hate leighton’s hair but she looks so much more comfortable in this dress and she wins for me because of that
