Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: June 2011

Kerry Washington attended the 2011 BET Awards wearing black patent Christian Louboutin Pigalle pumps.

Kerry chose a classic pump, however they were too heavy for her beautiful acid green Michael Kors dress. Gold sandals or a complementary colourful heel would have made this look a BDOTW contender.

Shoes Kerry Should Have Worn:

Sergio Rossi’s crystal sandal complements Kerry’s metallic accessories. They feature a twisted stiletto heel covered in crystals.

The multi-coloured Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spikes are one of the hottest heels from his latest Fall 2011 collection. If Kerry wanted to stick with a Louboutin pump, this would have been a much better Pigalle to wear.

Giuseppe Zanotti’s multi-strap ankle cuff sandal is covered with gold-colored Swarovski crystals. These statement heels are definitely red carpet worthy.

The golden Louis Vuitton sandal is simple and trendy. Several designs from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2011 collection feature heels resembling a horse’s leg and hoof.

Anne Hathaway graces the August 2011 cover Harper’s Bazaar US wearing a stunning Gucci Fall 2011 gown which we are yet to see on the red carpet, or on Florence Welch.

For the subscribers issue Alexi Lubomirski also captures the brunette beauty wearing Miu Miu.

The rest of her editorial sees her wearing MaxMara, Chanel, Prada and Alexander McQueen.

The actress is due to start promoting her new movie, “One Day” very soon. Let hope she’s on the same amazing form as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

In her interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Anne talks about everything from hosting Oscars, her boyfriend Adam Shulman and her love of fashion.

Here are some extracts from her interview and her rest of her editorial.

On fashion: “I feel like the luckiest girl in the world when I get to wear all these glamorous clothes. I’ve become a lot more specific about what I love and why I’m doing it.” Read more…

Julia Roberts attended the “Larry Crowne” LA Premiere with her co-star Tom Hanks last night.

I was going to say this look is classic Julia; suit, hands placed in front her stomach, but she isn’t wearing black.

On this occasion she opted for a midnight blue (big deal for Julia) Gucci Pre-Fall 2011 suit.

The suit was styled with a green necklace to provide delightful pop of colour.

Julia’s hair was neatly swept back in a sleek bun save for side swept bangs.

Black peep-toes completed her look.

Gwyneth Paltrow was seen out in London last night, as she made her way to Beyonce Knowles’ performance at the Shepherds Bush Empire.

Unlike the torrential rain, thunder and lightning we are experiencing today, yesterday was a very warm and sunny day in the capital.

Gwynie wore a beautiful Étoile Isabel Marant Bell printed silk-chiffon dress which accentuated her bronzed glow.

Her blue and white print dress was embellished with metallic-silver embroidery to provide a shimmering finish.

Katie Holmes flaunted her fresh Miami vacation tan at the “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” Premiere, which closed the 2011 LA Film Festival at the Regal Cinemas L.A. Live this weekend.

The actress opted for a simple navy Contrarian backless dress with a pleated skirt.

She accessorized with tan T-strap Lanvin pointy pumps, a gold Jennifer Meyer “S” pendant necklace and pearl stud earrings.

Katie’s young co-star Bailee Madison upstaged her by wearing a very colourful cute printed pink strapless dress.
