Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Rosie Huntington Whiteley continued to promote her new movie, “Transformers: Dark Of The Moon” on the “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” last week.

The model/actress looked fabulous in an all-black ensemble.

Her Dolce & Gabbana black vest with a lace back, was paired with black fitted pants and gorgeous embellished Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals.

During the interview, Rosie gave Jimmy some tips on how to work some magic on the runway.

She explained, “Put your hand on your hip and give a three second pause. The catwalk is trickier than it seems. There’s a little skill to it. I lived with two gay Jamaican men when I was 16 and lived in my first modeling apartment. They taught me.”

I was so happy to see Hailee Steinfeld sporting a more youthful look at the “Cars 2″ LA Premiere this weekend.

The teenage star has been opting for some very grown up odd choices lately.

I still don’t get what her MTV Movie Awards and the ironically titled Young Hollywood Awards looks were all about.

On this occasion she wore a Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti Spring 2011 dress.

Her strapless printed dress was paired with a denim jacket, Jimmy Choo ‘Youth’ boots and a complementary yellow H&M clutch.

I wouldn’t have added the biker boots, but I get what her stylist was thinking when adding them to her look.

Anything too fussy would’ve defeated the object of making this look youthful and approachable.

At the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards held in Toronto, Canada this weekend Lady GaGa wore only Versace throughout the evening.

During the performance of “Edge of Glory” the singer wore a custom made Atelier Versace jumpsuit entirely encrusted with black Swarovski crystals, broad shoulders and gold Medusa details.

The entire stage was covered with baroque Versace prints and all dancers were wearing Vintage Versace silk printed shirts.

For the acceptance of her first award Lady Gaga wore a Vintage Versace top entirely encrusted with colourful Swarovski crystals combined with a printed trench coat and beaded Vintage Versace pants.

GaGa accepted her second award wearing a Vintage Versace bright blue and black blazer combined with body hugging printed pants and the January Jones sunglasses with gold lenses.

I love the Atelier Versace jumpsuit. The other two are a tad too comical for my personal taste.

Jennifer Lopez joined Cameron Diaz on the German television program “Wetten Dass” this weekend.

She looked spectacular wearing a Lanvin silk dress from the Pre-Fall 2011 collection.

Her logo printed dress was paired with a matching head scarf and Lanvin leather-strapped fishnet and mesh pumps.

She opted to accessorize with a few silver bangles to complete her look.

Nice, But Meh Award
Nikki Reed rarely stands out on the red carpet.

She always appears to be happy making up the numbers, even at her own “Twilight” Premiere’s.

At the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards, which was held in Toronto, Canada on Sunday, she did manage to stand out.

She wore a Ronald Abdala black and white strapless cocktail dress with sequin detailing.

The look was predictably teamed with black Casadei pumps and a black Judith Leiber clutch.

Most Predictable Award
Every time I see Nina Dobrev on the red carpet my reaction is, “Next” as I find her style and red carpet choices so dated and boring.

I featured her on this occasion to highlight the point and to prevent the inevitable question, “Why didn’t you feature Nina Dobrev?”

At the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards she wore Georges Chakra Fall 2010 Couture dress.

Unfortunately the Vampire Diaries’ actress doesn’t make the dress work for me.

By shortening the dress, it just becomes a long line in predictable mini dresses she’s already worn on the red carpet.

The iridescent emerald green strapless dress with an asymmetric bow was paired with Aldo shoes.

A Couture dress with Aldo shoes?

Need I say more?
