Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Naomi Watts was joined on the red carpet by her partner Liev Schreiber, as they attended the 2011 Shakespeare In The Park Gala at the Delacorte Theater in New York City yesterday.

The actress opted to wear a Marc Jacobs striped silk dress from the Spring 2011 collection.

Her laid-back red carpet look was perfect for the occasion, although I’m missing something to give the look a slight lift.

Lady Gaga arrives at Narita International Airport in Japan earlier today looking…well relatively normal by her standards.

The singer who recently vowed to wear Versace exclusively for the next two months arrived wearing a Valentino Fall 2011 coat.

Her green leather trench coat remarkably complemented her current colour.

Patent leather green Christian Louboutin Daffodil platform pumps and square cut sunglasses completed her look.

Zooey Deschanel also attended the 2011 Critics’ Choice Television Awards which was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California yesterday.

The actress wore an Andrew Gn white short sleeve shift dress with black trims.

Since I started this blog in 2007 Zooey has always worn tights on the red carpet.

She is the only star I will give a pass to on tights, even during summer.

It’s her trademark and I’ve learnt to deal with it, plus she does look really cute here.

She recently said in a blog post, “I am a year round tights girl. I will wear tights even if it’s 100 degrees outside. Tights are my safety blanket.”

A Marni signature frame cotton crochet bag with yellow beads completed her look.

Samantha Cameron followed in Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Michelle Obama footsteps by repeating her Jonathan Saunders Spring 2011 dress in London today.

The PM’s wife gave her cracked print dress with a green waistband a second outing for lunch with the Queen and Prince Philip in celebration of his birthday.

Samantha had worn the dress a month ago, when she served lunch to the military during a barbecue in the garden of 10 Downing Street with Michelle Obama who was in town for her state visit.

Whilst I don’t have problem with repeats from Michelle, Catherine and Samantha, it would’ve been nice to see her wear something else for this high profile occasion, especially considering it was worn at exactly the same location.

This morning H&M announced that its Autumn 2011 designer collaboration will be with one of the world’s most legendary fashion brands, Versace.

Designed by its creative director Donatella Versace, the exclusive collection will look back to the vibrant heritage of the brand, full of leather, prints, colour and exuberance in exclusive materials at fantastic H&M prices.

The collection will include ranges for women, men and selected pieces for the home.

Mark 17th November in your diaries, as that’s the date the collection will go on sale in around 300 stores worldwide, as well as on-line.

Donatella Versace will also design a pre-spring collection for H&M which will be exclusively available in countries with H&M on-line sales from 19th January.

Versace follows the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons, Jimmy Choo and, most recently Lanvin who have all collaborated with H&M.

How excited are you about this collaboration?

Donatella is clearly very excited about this collaboration, because she wore a Versace for H&M dress yesterday as she took her bow after her Spring 2012 menswear show.
