Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Olivia Palermo opted for a very sunshiny look at “The Ledge” New York screening last night.

Her Victoria Beckham Spring 2011 dress has already been worn by the Queen B herself.

Olivia added more accessories to her Mandarin yellow 3/4-sleeve crew neck shift dress with front panel, which I always assumed was a black trim.

I’m not sure why, but I’m yet again not loving the animal print touch.

Maybe I’ve OD’ed this print, or maybe they are just not working on this occasion.

Her Charlotte Olympia heels were paired with her favourite fuchsia pink Sondra Roberts ‘Rose’ satin box clutch.

Florence Welch attended the 2011 Nylon Music Issue Launch Party in New York City last night.

The British singer opted to wear a folkloric Anna Sui Fall 2011 dress.

Her floral printed dress with a Peter Pan collar is totally adorable and beautiful styled on the runway, but it kinda loses its appeal on Florence – which is a first.

The hat, the Chanel Mademoiselle bag and the black patent ankle strap pumps totally ruin this look for me.

Florence’s styling is usually on point.

I’m surprised at how tragic it is on this occasion.

Celebrities love Louboutin’s, Atwood’s and YSL heels, but finally there is a new brand of shoes celebrities are favouring on the red carpet.

Aperlai was only launched in 2009 by Alessandra Lanvin, but it’s already quickly become a coveted go-to brand for Hollywood starlets who want a stand-out special shoe to provide the perfect finishing touch.

Kate Bosworth first introduced us to the collection wearing the ‘Jane’ pumps to the premiere of The Warrior’s Way in Seoul, South Korea earlier this year which she wore with a Jonathan Saunders dress.

She was swiftly followed by Gwyneth Paltrow who opted for the ‘Geraldina’ pumps with her Vionnet dress.

Ginnifer Goodwin jazzed up her Topshop dress with ‘Karine’ pumps on the Met Gala red carpet.

Goodwin’s heels are very similar to Gwyneth’s, but Blake Lively’s ‘Karine’ pumps are the same but in white without a platform.

Just last week Jada Pinkett-Smith wore the ‘Lara’ pumps when she stopped by The AOL Studios in New York City wearing an Amanda Wakeley ensemble.

I love these multiple coloured Spring 2011 heels because they have a funky sleek modern edge which will easily dress up any look.

In London they are only sold in Dover Street Market, but you can also find them in Bergdorf Goodman and Saks.

Liv Tyler looked sensational for the second time in a row yesterday.

This time she opted for a glamorous look wearing a Stella McCartney Fall 2011 modified Tokyo blue stretch dress, which she wore to the screening of “The Ledge” at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in New York City.

The vibrant two-tone fitted dress hugs her gorgeous womanly curves.

Stella’s BFF accessorized her look with Christian Louboutin Pigalle’s and a black Stella McCartney faux leather clutch.

Trademark side-swept curls and red lips completed her look.

I would like to add this to the BDOTW list, but let’s see how the rest of the week goes.

Evan Rachel Wood attended the “True Blood” Season 4 Premiere last night, which was held at the ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, California.

I LOVE this look.

Evan is one of the few young starlets in Hollywood who steps out of the ‘mold’ and consistently keeps things interesting on the red carpet.

Her Dolce & Gabbana grey pants and vest look was teamed with a fresh new ‘boy band’ haircut and red suspender braces.

I love how this look strikes the perfect balance between masculinity with alluring femininity. As Steven Tyler would say, “dude looks like a lady.”

The key to this look is part confidence, part fearless attitude, plus the aid of a good (hair, make-up & clothing) stylist.

I was quite obsessed with this whole look head-to-toe, but the leopard print back doesn’t quite work for me.

This is surprising considering my obsession with animal print.

Jimmy Choo Balance patent-leather mesh pumps plus Dana Rebecca Designs and C. Greene jewels completed her look.
