Yasmin Sewell is the seriously stylish former Chief Creative Consultant for iconic British store Liberty who now works for modaoperandi.com.

The Australian beauty, who resides in London, created a buzz as Buying Director for Browns and is acclaimed for her knack of breaking unknown brands and designers such as Pierre Hardy and Rick Owens onto the scene.

Since her job requires her to forecast what the trends will be six months ahead of time, it’s no surprise that Yasmin turns heads in killer outfits consisting of the hottest up and coming designers, mixed in with more established brands such as Burberry, Chanel and Céline.

You’ll find Yasmin being photographed outside of the shows during Fashion Week by street-style snappers who can’t get enough of her chic menswear-inspired pieces, signature curly bob and trademark sunglasses.

One of Yasmin’s favourite looks is pairing long tailored jackets with skinny jeans or full-length skirts or dresses.

Spotted during Fashion Week, Yasmin worked this look to perfection, mixing the jackets with printed or crisp white shirts, cinching them at the waist and adding amazing accessories – including structured heels and the highly-coveted two-tone Céline clutch to her outfits.

Yasmin paired her herringbone, double-breasted Chanel coat with an oversized Céline shirt, Persol sunglasses, Nicholas Kirkwood heels and vintage jewelry.

Working a custom-made Koki Kang ‘Crescent Moon Jacket’ – a fitted grey coat which (designed by Kang himself as a gift to his close friend) Yasmin added a printed shirt, black skinny jeans, her favourite Céline clutch and a pair of grey suede pumps to this sharp, fitted look.

Adding a feminine touch to her outfit, Yasmin wowed during Paris Fashion Week by coupling her Burberry coat with a printed Vanessa Bruno dress and a pair of stunning architectural Balenciaga heels.

In one of my favourite looks of Yasmin’s, she displayed how to take her characteristic style into evening, by mixing a cosmic print Christopher Kane skirt with a graphic Mary Katranzou top and Nicholas Kirkwood heels. Her printed skirt is gorgeous and looks amazing when paired with her grey YSL jacket.

Showing off her more casual style, Yasmin looks effortlessly cool in loose fitting jeans, balancing out the silhouette by tucking in her shirts and adding a bright blue blazer or an army green leather jacket.

Her boyfriend-style jeans are casually chic in a light-blue wash with distressed and sandblasted details or an unadorned pair in a darker wash, both of which Yasmin cuffed at the hem for a relaxed, carefree vibe.

Demonstrating her ability to also rock skirts in a more casual manner, Yasmin stood out in a black wool Louis Vuitton circle skirt which she paired with a striped Vince top and Elizabeth and James wedge boots. I love the cool nonchalance of her sweater hanging off her shoulder.

Looking summer-sophisticated in a Balenciaga dress, which features a grey draped skirt, a striped top and a white belted midsection, Yasmin added a burgundy Anya Hindmarch clutch and black Azzendine Alaîa pointed-toe heels to this outfit. The neutral palette looks lovely against her tan skin.

Yasmin definitely favours layering multiple pieces in one outfit but she also appreciates the simplicity of wearing a beautiful dress.

Pictured in a simple sleeveless black dress, Yasmin accessorized with chunky bracelets and a surfboard charm necklace, paying homage to her Australian roots.

Choosing a look from Christopher Kane’s Fall 2009 collection, Yasmin wore this super-sexy dress which features a nude bandeau layered over a sheer top with graphic style lines and a pleated lower half. It’s such a chic look but Yasmin gives it a cool spin by pairing it with her favourite Acne open-toe boots.

Photographed wearing a beautiful off-white YSL dress, Yasmin opted for a pair of dark brown sandals to wear with this look. The stunning dress features princess style lines and a lower hem in the back with side seam pockets. It’s a gorgeous, sophisticated look on her.

Finally, Yasmin wore a sheer off-the-shoulder maxi-dress in a polka-dot print which drapes down into a contrast fabric with unfinished hems. One of Yasmin’s trendier looks, she added a pair of shearling Burberry boots, a row of bracelets, a delicate necklace and her trademark shades to this effortlessly cool outfit.

Yasmin’s style is definitely one to keep an eye out for, especially since she has a pulse on the brands and designers which are sure to become household names in the future.

I’m excited to see how her style evolves, but I have no doubt it’ll be just as cool as all of the looks above.
