Kate Winslet was in Madrid, Spain tonight to attend the YO DONA Magazine International Awards at El Matadero.
The British actress was there to receive an award for her Humanitarian work.
She looked absolutely breath-taking wearing a Victoria Beckham Fall 2009 gown.
The simple yet stunning black body skimming long sleeve gown with slash neck, defined shoulders and embroidery detail at the waist, was teamed with a black and gold crystallized Judith Leiber art deco minaudière.
Her hair was styled into a ponytail and she added gold drop earrings to her look.
This is my first BDOTW contender.
Kate is just oozing elegance.

I love the fact that she embraces her body and her curves, and makes herself look even more elegant and sofisticated on the process.

Yeah she’s got curves and knows how to dress them. I think she should take inspiration from the actresses of the 50s. Many had her shape.

But I can’t deny I liked it better on the model. I love how the embroidery waist detail looks almost like a belt on her. On Kate it is very clear it’s just a detail.
But either way, she is pure elegance. Her hair, makeup and accessories are amazing. Too bad we can’t see her shoes =(
Also, I didn’t understand why she opted for such an old dress. I know it’s still up to date and elegant, but If I hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t believe it. Celebrities always want to be ahead everybody else when it comes to fashion. Isn’t that why the “pre-collections” were created?
Kate is one of the few women who can make a black dress exciting. The dress combined with her amazing hair and makeup just scream “movie star”. BDOTW for sure. She looks amazing.

My goodness Kate is absolutely gorgeous. The dress compliments her figure so well. I love her hair, it shows off the dress more. Her earrings are cute, the clutch is cute and adds a perfect tie-in to the waist embroidery. Plus her makeup is minimal and I like that.

I guess this goes to show these Victoria Beckham dresses really are investment pieces because i think Kate looks stunning in a 2009 dress, i wouldn’t change anything about this look, and i love the loose pony tail, it makes the look that much more effortless looking – i love it!
Didn’t Courteney Cox wear this to the Golden Globes in 2010? Anyway Kate looks lovely here.

Woah, there is nothing one can find wrong with this look. The dress is a vision of elegance, but still being modern, and it comes alive on Winslet, because of her glorious curves! Then there is that picture perfect make-up, and hair, this is movie star all the way, without the gimmick, or trying to hard. ADORE IT!

This is elegance! This is a movie star! Kate Winslet may not be the Cate Blanchett type of daring, but she goes for classic, simple looks and they suit her. I like looks where you can look sultry with everything covered up.
