Cameron Diaz turned the heat (and her hemline) up several notches for the “Bad Teacher” New York Premiere tonight at the Ziegfeld Theatre.
The actress, who’s had an exhausting weekend promoting this movie, opted for a Chanel Spring 2011 mini dress on this occasion.
Without the boots, this black and white knit dress looks even shorter on Cameron.
Despite the exposed bra, this is my favourite look from Cameron on this so-so promo tour. This is the only look I will remember.
Her favourite Casadei pumps – which she’s been wearing throughout this promotional tour – and gold Cartier jewels completed her look.

Nude, but flash bulbs will always make the bra visible in this type of dress so it’s a no win situation unless you line the dress.

Really? Looking at recent pictures of her I felt certain she’d had quite a bit of work done. Maybe it is just botox, but looks like more and doesn’t flatter her.

She is looking rough and I don’t think it’s because of her age, but because she doesn’t take care of herself. All that tanning and partying will take its toll. I’ve seen other actresses who are around her age or older who have always been good with skincare and such and don’t look near as old as Diaz. It’s about taking good care of one’s skin.
There are also other pictures of her in the group where she looks better. My original thought was based on the appearances she has been making in the last week and now she’s in NY. I’m thinking she had a right to be tired
I can’t believe people like this dress. It’s so shockingly tacky, especially from a line like Chanel. Cameron looks like a hooker in this get-up. Maybe that was the point though, the movie is about a bad teacher.

Cameron looks like she’s trying too hard. Age with some grace for goodness sake. If this were Halle Berry or Kim K wearing this exact same outfit, everyone would be grossed out. Cameron doesn’t get a pass because she doesn’t have a shapely body.

I am actually genuinely concerned, just because her last promo tour, or th eone before was all same black/white/nude looks and was pretty uninspiring, an dI am concerned this one will be too, because so far, besides one ‘sage’ dress, which looked pretty close to white to me, that is ht efull colour spectrum from Cammie. Also, she has a glowing tann, incredible body and beautiful colouring, she could do so much better!

Cute dress, but not very Chanel, I would say… Better accessories would have improved it, but I think that Cameron doesn’t want to shift the attention from her body… Justin looks so cute!

The blame for a dress which is see-through under lights falls to the dress-maker more than the dress-wearer. Shame on Chanel for tacky workmanship, not Cameron.
Are you kidding? Chanel doesn’t have to alter their work for anybody. If you buy a sheer dress knowing it’s sheer, you better make it work yourself or else you’ll look tacky. Cameron chose not to wear anything else under it; that’s her problem, not Chanel’s.
Nope, not kidding. Fashion houses show unlined dresses on the catwalk so that they get lots of picture coverage. But if they send out unlined versions away from the catwalk, they risk their reputations because they can’t control the presentation of those dresses, and risk their expensive dresses looking like they are made of thin, cheap, low-end fabrics.
In the end, Cameron makes her living by showing off her body. Chanel makes theirs by selling an expensive image. Which is the loser here? (YMMV, of course.)

Hmmm.. I beg to differ. This dress doesn’t do it for me. I am tired of seeing Cameron’s legs – yes, Cam, WE KNOW you have gorgeous legs – in these tinny dresses/shorts/skirts which is all we’re getting from her lately. Plus she looks awfully tired and her face is REALLY strange. I don’t know if it’s cause she is getting too thin or if it’s too much plastic surgery. But it just doesn’t look good. She is not aging well.
Anyway, I prefer some of her casual looks from Europe. A great casual chic look is much better than an uninspired so-so couture look, imo.
This dress looks good, but it’s nothing that special for Cameron. This kind of micro-mini is practically a uniform for her.

Just can’t get behind this look. You can see her bra and underwear and thing is ridiculously short. I’m all for short dresses especially with Cameron’s awesome legs but this just comes off as a beach coverup and worse off looks a bit desperate beside her ex. Sorry Cameron.
all i can think about is how on earth she manages to sit or do anything in that dress, really, without flashing everyone. it could use a couple inches, to say the least.
I’m really disappointed by this overwhelmingly negative thread (apart from the much-deserved praise for the site). Don’t like her outfit? Fair enough. RCFA is a great forum for debating the looks of the day but I’ve never considered it a place to make personal remarks/judgments about whether a woman “takes care of herself.” And what is this about Cameron being too old to wear this dress?How insensitive is that to readers her age and older who work their butts off to look great in skimpy summer clothes?Clothes unfit twenty-somethings can’t work? Moreover, Cameron isn’t “flashing” anyone. Since when is a black bra offensive or even more than a little risqué by today’s standards? Certainly, her look has been a bit same-y on this tour but she’s promoting a film in which she plays the overtly sexual female lead. Super-short skirts make as much sense as L-Liu’s black-and-white Kung Fu Panda kick.
