Carey Mulligan was spotted on her way to the Junior Spring Benefit for Lincoln Center Event at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City last night.
The British actress wore a Valentino Fall 2011 dress.
Her laser cut shirt dress with sheer sleeves and Peter Pan collar was paired with a black clutch and brown YSL Trib Too pumps.
Despite Carey reluctance to smile on almost any occasion, I do like this look a lot.
My problem are her brown Trib Too’s.
What is it with Carey and her obsession with brown shoes?
Nude would’ve probably washed her out, so understand her not going down that path, but her first choice isn’t so great either.

The dress looks great on her, but I wish she had worn the shoes the model is wearing.
Lifeless, as usual. The shoes are incredibly ugly.
The dreadful style of an old lady as usual. The way she buttoned her dress all the way up is killing me. And her black clutch is worse than those ugly brown shoes.
