Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended several engagements over the weekend, so we got so see her wear several looks and fascinators.
On Saturday her first look was an Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 coat which she wore to the Trooping the Colour, which is the official commemoration of Queen Elizabeth’s birthday.
The white cotton and wool-blend piqué coat with a softly pleated tiered Samurai skirt and accentuated padded shoulders, was paired with a black Philip Treacy hat to complete her monochromatic look.
On the same day Catherine kept the Philip Treacy hat, but changed into a simple satin black and white Zara sheath dress when she attended the wedding of close friends Sam Waley-Cohen and Bella Ballin.
Simple black pumps and an Anya Hindmarch ‘Maud’ silk clutch completed her look.
On Sunday, Catherine attended Prince Philip’s 90th birthday service.
She wore a cornflower blue pleated Zara dress with a periwinkle blue Jane Troughton brocade coat. She has worn both pieces before on separate occasions.
Her favourite LK Bennett nude pumps and yet another fascinator completed her look.
On Monday for the Order of the Garter ceremony, Catherine selected a Katherine Hooker coat and dress for the occasion.
The silk Buxton dove grey coat was teamed with a Rachel Trevor-Morgan fascinator.
Which was your favourite look?
Mine is the simple black and white Zara dress, which is more modern in comparison to the last two.

i love her in the mcqueen. think it looks gorgeous around her hips but other than that definitely the wedding outfit too. what was with pippas coat for the wedding though. it looked about five sizes too large!!
Oh pippa’s outfit was dreadful alright! So over her!
I agree! Pippa’s coat looked way too big on her, but it was still nonetheless a beautiful coat.
Pippa looked awful at the wedding! She looks like she is about 34 years old! And that hat was not doing her any favors. Why is the media so in love with her? No one else is.
Love the McQueen coat.

I’m suffering serious envy for all her coats, but especially the blue brocade.
She has worn the black and White Zara dress before.
She has. Back in 2007.
Wow 4 years on and it’s still in her closet but there’s nothing wrong with that I like seeing people wearing things more than once.Unlike Paris Hiltons wear once and throw away!however there would be no question on whether it would fit her again back in 07 she looked healthy though the dress wasn’t styled well.
and the zara coat. to a wedding in 2009. she had a better hat on
i’m completely enamored with her in that mcqueen coat and that fantastical hat. i feel like i’m a broken record, but she just comes off as so regal when she embraces these types of looks. she does with the jacket what michelle obama does with the cardigan: she pulls herself together in such a fashionable way. and even if it’s zara or reiss, it looks like a million bucks because it’s so well put together.
Quite bored by all of these looks really.
Me too! She looks so mumsy
shes a Duchess? its not like shes going to be running around in skimpy clothing.
i agree, but i think sometimes she has to find that balance between looking appropriate and looking more matronly than she really is
then again, i read something say that she is typical of the sloany look thats till pervades parts/sets of london. can any londoners weight in here on this?
I would say that this was a typical sloany look.
I’m not too sure they dress as old fashioned as this nowadays.
I agree. She looks so very “presentable” each time, but not showing any personal style. Except a love of the ever so mumsy and oldfashioned knee length coat.
Of course she has to dress a certain way at these publilc events but she could give a bit of oomph.
I remember reading that the black-and-white dress was a Diane von Furstenberg from a few years back, are you sure it is from Zara?
Hi FC,
Do you know what dress Kate is wearing here, at Prince Phillip’s dinner?
Thanks FC.
Stella McCartney
Thought so but I needed your expertise! I quite like this dress too.
Cheers for your help, FC.
In the last pic, someone taller is standing behind her – for a minute I thought her hair was up in an elaborate bouffant!
Loved both the Zara dresses.
that’s camilla’s hat
it’s been called on a blog, “pigtail fireworks”
lol!
lol… but I meant the last pic – the one in which she’s wearing the blue coat. Looks like a taller man is standing behind her.
Hahahahahaha ;D
I absolutely LOVE the Alexander McQueen. It’s perfection :~) The Zara dress is interesting too and a nice change. The other ones are pretty but I feel like I’ve seen her too many times in that kind of outfit.
My thoughts exactly. I wish we could get a full shot of the McQueen to see what shoes she is wearing.
I’m sure they are black…I would put money on it
YAWN
Most of them are re-runs, which is great. But i was horrified to see that she wore the Zara dress for a night out (in a club!). smh.
Anyway, i am dying to see a full picture of the Mcqueen: i am sure she will take it to America (can´t wait!)
FC Aishwaraya Rai attended a event..probably horse race event wearing elie saab. Would do a post on her??
go back a few pages I have already done it
okz..
i really adroe the first Philip Treacy hat!! She looks amazing in all of her looks. but like most I prefer the mcqueen coat
The Zara is my favorite, but those fascinators! I can’t help but love them- I’m really growing to want one these days.
Hey FC
As always, fantastic coverage of EVERYTHING
I was just wondering how do you feel about the Danish princesses and their style? I think that especially crown-princess Mary is a master of looking regal while modern.
I haven’t seen them, but I will look out for them
yeh mary does always look amazing & she supports danish designers which is great!
Is she allowed to wear like 6 inch Louboutin? She looks fantastic but she needs something to spice it up a bit.
Yes those uber conservative heels kill the looks for me
Doubtful. She’s not a WAG.
And for that I’m grateful.
I vote for the McQueen coat. Great styling on it.
I love that she reuses pieces like that Zara dress and the blue coat, can’t decide if the Zara dress or McQueen coat is better.
i love the McQueen coat and the fascinator. Great look.
I like both McQueen, even if I prefer the gray version, and Zara, very cute, I really like the hat. That brocade coat looks like a carpet. I would say 2 good outfits and 2 bad outfits, also aging. By the way, I saw a photo of Pippa (which is single now, what an interesting news, my God!) with her and she looked like Catherine’s mother.
I was not surprised that Pippa dumped her boyfriend and is now apparently dating a Duke.
She clearly doesn’t want to be in her sisters shadow.
I want to say the McQueen but what is it with white all the time- there has already been one virgin queen. The rest were just plain awful especially that hideous brocade coat.thank you for not showing her in the dress Madonna wore a few years back it looked horrible on her as it swamped her and the colour was not flattering.plus it was so wrinkled. Attractive girl with hideous taste. She should study Princess L of Spain.
The McQueen jacket is to die for! LOVE IT!
she’s boring
Am I the only who doesn’t find her interesting at all? I hate to be a party pooper, but I much prefer Pippa. Lol, I suppose those of you who live in England are probably a bit sick of her, but where I live I can kinda pick and choose when to look up pictures of her, and I dig her style way more.
I totally agree Asherlev1, not interesting at all. I wonder if she is styling herself? Also I think my biggest problem is her shoe choice. If she wants to only wear pumps then go for a better designer/brand because her current fav’s are terrible.
I love the McQueen coat with the black hat and the grey outfit from the last day (especially the hat!). I have absolutely nowhere to wear the hats, but I need the McQueen in my closet. Too bad it’s sold out.
FC, I too prefer th Zara dress… because it’s modern, young, fresh…. and what can I say? She is only 30, she can dres apropriate and young.
