Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Stella McCartney – 2011 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Best Dressed Award
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was easily the Best Dressed at the 2011 Glamour Women of the Year Awards, because it was such a poorly dressed event.

The model/actress looked divine wearing a Stella McCartney Spring 2011 dress.

Her beige silk dress with slits on the sides and a pleated skirt was teamed with Tiffany jewels, a Ferragamo embellished box clutch, nude Louboutin’s pumps.

As always she just oozes effortless glamour.

she looks beautiful!! her dress looks better then the runway version…

  2. Ro June 8, 2011 at 02:16 #

The color and flow of the dress is gorgeous. And I love Rosie’s hair!

  3. Kimma June 8, 2011 at 02:21 #

Rosie is always beautifully turned out on the red carpet. If only she could find some joy in being there – the scowl is getting boring. (assume its meant to be a sultry pout but just reads as p*ssed off.)

  4. AJ June 8, 2011 at 02:35 #

Kim Kardashian was at the event and she looked stunning! Pls feature her…

    • Fashion Critic June 8, 2011 at 02:44 #

I will not be featuring her on this or any other occasion.

I find it embarrassing that she was awarded entrepreneur of the year at this event.

They should’ve given it to Paris Hilton, because she was the first celeb to become famous from a sex tape

      • Sharrie June 8, 2011 at 02:58 #

I’m a huge fan FC, but I have to agree with AJ! She is an entrepreneur as well as a prominent figure in the fashion industry, and since this is a fashion blog isn’t it only fair that you judge her outfit lke the rest of the attendees?

        • Fashion Critic June 8, 2011 at 03:16 #

Sorry but I have absolutely no respect for her and the whole Kardashian franchise and since I can’t be objective then I will stand by my decision to not feature her, just like I don’t feature Paris Hilton and the cast of the Jersey Shore.

Celebrity pictures cost money and I would rather spend that money on a picture of a real celebrity and not a glorified porn star, prominent figure in the fashion industry, entrepreneur or whatever one wishes to call Kim Kardashian.

        • Elaine June 8, 2011 at 11:12 #

Agree with you 100% – not a KK fan myself and TG no cast members of Jersey Shore (or Geordie Shore for that matter) have featured on this site!!

Just curious, is there a particular reason of late that you chose to no longer feature KK – because I know she would have been featured a bit in the past.

          • Fashion Critic June 8, 2011 at 12:30 #

No particular reason. I just don’t want to feature people like that anymore.

I don’t think people like her should be celebrated.

      • dee June 8, 2011 at 15:20 #

I wholeheartedly agree with you FC.

        • Jess C. June 8, 2011 at 16:35 #

I love Kim Kardashian! I understand why you think she’s a bad role model… But she’s a good role model when it comes to body image and embracing your curves… don’t you agree? I’m sorry, but you lost a fan today =( But on the bright side, you’re right about Rosie… She looks very glamourous!

          • Fashion Critic June 8, 2011 at 16:40 #

Jess, whilst I’m sorry to hear that, that is entirely your choice. I haven’t featured her for months now, but you only noticed because of the original request on this thread. So it clearly wasn’t that much of an issue until now.

  5. pam June 8, 2011 at 03:40 #

I’m with you FC. It’s bad enough that our pop stars are working stripper poles and dressing in bondage gear on MTV. Our TV “stars” are drunks, sluts, teen moms and the so called “housewives.” And now we are supposed to accept porn as an acceptable entry vehicle into show business? No not ever. Thanks for having standards and sticking to them.

    • Fashion Critic June 8, 2011 at 03:48 #

Thank you. I glad you understand where I’m coming from on this issue as I feel very strongly about it.

She is a very poor role model.

      • Emi June 8, 2011 at 08:32 #

I totally agree with you, FC. By the way, did you see the Mtv Movie Awards? The acceptance speech of Reese Whiterspoon was really great. She has a quite boring style but that girl has character, definitely.

        • Fashion Critic June 8, 2011 at 11:06 #

Yes I saw it, she was really funny.

      • Jeremy June 8, 2011 at 12:20 #

I was curious about Kim’s dress. Pff, she looks boring as usual: another tight-ass (literally) dress so everyone has to pay attention to that body. I’m so sick of people treating her and her trashy family like some sort of idols. Even her douche-bag brother-in-law gets some kind of privileges.

        • Jeremy June 8, 2011 at 12:20 #

On Rosie: she does look effortless…

  6. Bill June 8, 2011 at 04:14 #

Rosie is the best! I wish the top was more fitted!

  7. Marybeth June 8, 2011 at 05:32 #

Rosie is gorgeous and I like the dress — but I’m confused by the way it fits around the stomach. It looks lumpy, very strange.
Maybe it’s just odd lighting or maybe Rosie swallowed a ping-pong ball. I don’t know..

    • mari June 8, 2011 at 14:47 #

probably it’ just the shine of the fabric, like satin, it just creates lumps where there are none. I think she looks good.

  8. Hellwafashion June 8, 2011 at 07:35 #

KK won entrepreneur of the year??!, that’s an insult to female entrepreneurs everywhere. Shocking. So the message is forget working hard, make a degrading video et voila you will be put in the same category as women like Natalie Massenet & Oprah. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Very happy to know my fave blog sticks to principles. …..back to topic! not mad about Rosie’s dress but love, love the hair and make up!

    • Emi June 8, 2011 at 08:35 #

I agree with you. Glamour is one of my favorite magazine (of course I read the italian edition), and it’s inconceivable that they gave an award to K. Kardashian. What a wrong message.

  9. Alina June 8, 2011 at 12:16 #

    Looove!

  10. Jen June 8, 2011 at 13:06 #

The fit around her stomach is just not good. Not sure if it’s the clingy fabric, but when you make this girl look like she’s got a lumpy stomach, something is wrong.

    • maria June 8, 2011 at 15:50 #

      i totally agree

  11. bibi June 8, 2011 at 13:16 #

A beautiful woman with great features …..and well dressed too

  12. Shaina June 8, 2011 at 15:19 #

She looks beautiful, I like this dress on her too, the color really suits her.

  13. dee June 8, 2011 at 15:21 #

    Rose looks stunning.

  14. Rebecca Z June 8, 2011 at 15:28 #

Stunning. Agree with the ping-pong ball comment, but it is probably just a weird shadow. She is beautiful, the color is delicious on her, I love the design of the dress where the top and skirt meet and think the looseness in the top is amazingly sexy. She is a beauty.

  15. Hisadora June 8, 2011 at 18:28 #

Fantastic!!! I also love her hair, it’s perfect!

  16. serenissima June 9, 2011 at 03:03 #

Props to you for not featuring Kim K

  17. Laila June 13, 2011 at 07:53 #

I think Kim Kardashian isn’t a good role model I am with FC on that one. She is a complete oppertunist and built her empire from the ground up starting with a sex tape which is disgusting,
I do however, respect the fact that she actually works outside of her TV show and continues to make the most of the oppertunity that was given to her based on the said scandal. I feel that Kim was able to move away from the sex tape scandal with more grace than Paris Hilton. The girl could have easily sat back and done nothing with her life except the reality show but she has chosen to build her brand and her name.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. They were not responsible for Kims disgusting and trashy sex tape and in the first few seasons you could see that they really resented Kim and had no respect for her regarding the issue. Kourtney and Khloe are naturally more real and more hard working than Kim, however she is the one who released the sex tape and fueled that insane interest in her to begin with.

Rosie is so beautiful its insane! I am so glad that she replaced Megan Fox in transformers.

  18. micheline June 15, 2011 at 06:50 #

The fact that you won’t be featuring the Kardashians or Paris Hilton on this site makes me very happy, FC. I appreciate your good taste and standards.

    • Fashion Critic June 15, 2011 at 07:28 #

      Thank you.

A lot of people feel the same way.

I could tell by the comments that people thought featuring them was lowering the tone.
