Jennifer Lopez attended the Samsung Hope for Children Gala in New York City last night.
The last time Jennifer attended a Children’s charity event, you guys were horrified that she wore a bandage dress.
On this occasion she wore a sophisticated Temperley London red dress from the Fall 2011 collection with a ruffle detail on the shoulder.
She pulled her hair back in a tight bun and opted for soft neutral make-up.
Stephen Websters jewels, a satin champagne clutch and nude Christian Louboutin peep-toes completed her look.

So it isn’t a bandage dress but I can’t help but think of a million other choices that would have been event appropriate. It is a tad tight and the fabric is unforgiving on her banging bod. Beautiful make-up though!
If this was indeed a “gala” then the dress is appropriate as that is usually an adult fundraising event. There were children present and the setting was more public when she wore the bandage dress. I think she looks great. A wee bit tight around the hips, but then how could it not be?
The dress looks good, but what shocked me in a VERY good way was the light makeup which is rare for JLo. She generally looks like a wax doll. She should try giving a rest to the eyelashes though..

As usual, the dress is too tight.
I do like the subtle make-up and the clutch though.
If you had a body like Jennifer’s (which I do) you will know that it is hard to rework a fitted dresses so it is tailored to your body. Even when you go up a size and take it in there will be some issues. It can either fit around the hips, be too loss around the waist or you have to get a completely different style of dress.
I agree which is why I never mention the fit on her.
Lets face it dresses are not designed to fit her derriere.
This dress is gorgeous, but more interesting shoes would have been better. I love her simple hair and make up. I don’t know if it’s the light but the color of her dress seems different from the runway version, which is better, but maybe it’s just the light.
She looks stunning but I wish it wasn’t so skintight, then again it wouldn’t be J.Lo if it wasn’t tight.

She is a beauty from head to toe. The lighter makeup shows just how gorgeous her face is, and the color of the dress is very flattering. With all the shoes she must own, I think she could have made a better choice, but that’s my only complaint.

Adore her flawless makeup, but not blown away by the dress. My first thought was Karen Millen… She’s been wearing some great dresses this year. I think she could have done better.

That colour is divine on her. Really & truly just beautiful on her. And yes, as mentioned, how nice to be able to see her face for once, sans the heavy makeup. And nobody does a bub better than Jennifer. One of my favourite JLo looks ever.
