Jamie Winstone In Vivienne Westwood – Eliza Doolittle In House Of Holland – The Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition Preview Party

Jamie Winstone has decided to go back to being blonde after previously experimenting with pink and purple.

The actress attended The Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition Preview Party in London yesterday wearing a Vivienne Westwood Fall 2011 printed floor-length bustier dress.

On anyone else I would’ve hated the blue glittered Dr. Martens, but Jamie very much pulls them off being a fashion rebel who never plays by the rules.

Also you can’t get a more iconic British look than pairing Westwood with Dr. Martens.

I’m sure Vivienne loves Jamie’s interpretation of this look which was originally presented on the runway as a skirt.

Oh well…I can’t say I like it but it does suit her style.

Not a fan of this look, but I would like to see this dress as a skirt.

I wanted to like it…. and then I saw the closeup. What the heck is wrong with that neckline?! Not only is it extremely unflattering, it is also a modesty mishap just waiting to happen. Eeeks!

I’m way more disturbed by the hair, face and makeup than the Dr. Martens

    I love this look!

    Quintessentially British.

Stop being such prudes, rules are meant to be broken. Style comes from attitude and personality.

    She looks great!

Mmmm I said she looks great.

It’s not a look I favour as I’m a princesses gown kinda gal, but I clearly say she pulls it off.

I love it too! Love the colors and juxtaposition of boots & dress.

Westwood’s clothing is filled with personality all on it’s own. So I really hate when people go wild with the hair, makeup, and accessories when wearing her. This poor woman is just a hot mess from her head to her toes. On the right woman this dress would be lovely.

I actually like it. Very summery look.

I like this quintessentially British look, with all its nods to punk. It’s not pretty or glamourous, but it’s fun and interesting, and I’m guessing that’s what she was aiming for
