Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Sophia Bush attended the ‘Beauty Culture’ exhibition opening reception at Annenberg Space For Photography in Century City, California last night.

I’m a huge fan of Sophia so this is going to sting a bit.

Her Z Spoke by Zac Posen plaid dress from the Spring 2011 collection looks a bit costumey on her.

She doesn’t quite have the flare to pull this off.

Save this dress for the likes of Solange Knowles and Jena Malone. I think even Elle Fanning would’ve managed to pull this quirky look off.

The necklaces weren’t necessary.

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the “Knickerbocker” Opening Night at The Public Theater in New York City with her husband Matthew Broderick last night.

The actress opted to wear a Halston Fall 2011 wool coat with black Manolo Blahnik jeweled satin pumps.

If you’re thinking that this look feels a bit familiar.

That’s because SJP also owns this coat in purple.

One of the perks of being creative director is that you get to pick what you want in every colour.

Kerry Washington attended World Ocean Day 2011 celebrated by La Mer and Oceana at Affirmation Arts in New York City this week.

The actress looked divine wearing a Valentino Spring 2011 dress.

Her delicate black sheer dress with floral embroidered details on the skirt and a lace panel on the bodice was teamed with the standard ‘Hollywood’ black pumps and a Roger Vivier clutch.

Soft curls and glossy lips completed her look.

There is nothing for me to fault here. I don’t even mind the pumps on this occasion.

Eve Hewson joined Sean Penn at the Palais des Festivals this lunchtime for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “This Must Be The Place” Photocall.

The newbie wore a Miu Miu Spring 2011 dress.

Her mint green, black and white star print satin dress with a neon-green cut-out leather yoke is similar to the dress Emily Browning also wore during this festival.

It looks like she’s starting off on the right foot, because she opted for purple suede Miu Miu peep-toes to complete her look.

She looks great here, but the real test will come at the premiere later tonight.

Hilary Swank attended preview of the first-ever ‘Choose You’ documentary. The Oscar winning actress was the Executive Producer of the project.

She wore a summery Isaac Mizrahi Spring 2011 dress at the screening, which was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City last night.

The nude short sleeve dress was covered with yellow, white and grey embellishments which created a beautiful floral pattern.

Hilary wisely opted to only add VRAM for GRAY Gallery hooped earrings, as the dress should be the main focus.

Satin pumps completed the look.

I wish she’d opted for sandals in this same champagne colour and pulled all her hair back.

Other than that she looks event and season appropriate.

Cheryl Cole was spotted wearing Marc by Marc Jacobs polka dot t-strap wedges to the X-Factor auditions in Chicago.

I completely agree with the Fashion Critic; these wedges were major overkill.

Her attempt to connect the dots from head to toe distracted the attention away from her beautiful Sonia by Sonia Rykiel dress.

Shoes Cheryl Should Have Worn:

Charlotte Olympia’s textured cotton Dolores platform pumps add the right pop of colour to Cheryl’s outfit. They also match the cuteness of her look and her red nail polish.

If Cheryl wanted to stick with a wedge, these black Chloé satin Amanda wooden wedges are a much better option. They’re beautiful and an unexpected choice.

I never thought these Yves Saint Laurent’s black suede and raffia heeled Gipsy sandals would make it on any of my posts. I personally have never been a huge fan of these heels; however, with Cheryl’s outfit they completely work.

Christian Louboutin’s Fine Bretelle slingbacks are a safe and easy fit for Cheryl. They’re a twist on the classic Mary Jane pump featuring a thin strap and slingback.
