Charlene Wittstock In Akris - Grand Prix de Monaco

There are very few things that are certain in life. Victoria Beckham is unlikely to smile, Renée Zellweger will always wear Carolina Herrera and the other was Charlene Wittstock would wear Armani, but that appears to have changed.

Charlene Wittstock, fiancée of Albert Prince of Monaco, wore Akris custom ensemble for events surrounding Monaco’s Grand Prix this weekend.

The Princess-in-waiting first Akris look included a black stone appliqué corseted bustier with black silk chiffon pants and the Akris ‘Alice bag’ which she wore to the Amber lounge.

For the Grand Prix qualifying race the following day, she wore a sand Akris bustier with a matching skirt and tan sandals. This was a very refreshing relaxed look for Charlene.

That evening at the JetSet Party on-board a yacht, Charlene opted for an Akris one-shouldered silk jersey dress sans shoes. She accessorized with a pearl necklace and a matching clutch.

A printed voile day dress and Jimmy Choo sandals was the perfect day look for Charlene as she attended Grand Prix on Sunday.

The finale Akris look was a stunning olive paillette gown which she paired with an Akris ‘Ai’ bag.

Charlene sure does know what looks to wear for each occasion.

Each look was presented with the type of effortless elegance we expect from a Princess.

    she was on a South African tv show recently and there she confirmed Armani will be making one of the two dresses for here wedding. as there is a religious ceremony ans a public one

I love that they all fit her body type – she’s an athlete with broad shoulders and she always seems to have trouble dressing in a way that flatters.

Akris really doesn’t get enough credit. They have been consistently great for years. Wasn’t Charlene’s outfit at the Royal Wedding by Akris too?

Someone used to be a swimmer there. But I actually think she makes broad shoulders look elegant. Not always an easy job.

She looks great in all those looks and she tries to wear what flatter her broad-shoulders-narrow-hips better. What I really like about Charlene is that she doesn’t try to cover her shoulders and pretend they don’t exist, she embraces her body, goes strapless, one-shouldered. Sure it helps that she is very tall and slim, but overall, I think she rocks her broad shoulders.
