The 47th Baeksang Arts Awards took place yesterday in Seoul, South Korea.
Hwang Jung Eum selected a Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2011 navy cropped long sleeve sweater with a navy maxi skirt.
Whilst the look feels too casual for an awards show, Hwang Jung Eum totally rocks it. She was my favourite from this event which included a lot of gowns.
She completed her look with silver bracelets.
Park Shin Hye also wore a look from the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2011 collection.
Her navy plunging gown was paired with same gold chain runway belt and a white Ferragamo clutch.
It’s a very elegant look, but I’m not that excited about it.
Ko Hyun-Jung opted for a very elegant Donna Karan Spring 2011 nude dress with silver embellished details. Her dress is stunning, but she’s not breathing much life into it.
Kim Nam-Joo opted to wear a red Hermes Spring 2011 suit. This is a very chic look. I love her bold attitude to stand out from this crowd and her black accessories.
Tang Wei, who had a very successful Cannes trip, opted for a beautiful watercolour pleated Escada gown which is both summery and heavenly.
Nam Kyu-Lee went in the opposite direction to Tang’s summery look. The actress wore a gorgeous maroon ruffled gown which she paired with nude satin pumps.
Han Hio-Ju seems very overwhelmed by her white lace tiered Nina Ricci dress with a black waistband. For something white and light in fabric, the look feels extremely heavy. A more streamlined look would’ve been preferred.

I love Nam Kyu-Lee’s look- her purple gown is gorgeous.
Kim Nam-Joo is so chic. We don’t see a lot of Asian stars wearing suits, so this is refreshing.

Interesting that Hwang Jung Eum bared her midriff on a red carpet. Koreans tend to be rather conservative dresser. It is, indeed, causal; but I like it.

I really love Hwang Jung Eum’ s look. I think it’s a worthy BDOTW. I may even vote for it. She looks great. It’s sexy, modern and still totally awesome.
The Ferragamo PR people seem to have done a very impressive job of getting into the asian markets – SF looks seem to appear a lot more often on red carpets in HK, China and South Korea than on many western ones. Hwang Jung Eum looks gorgeous.

So interesting how many of you liked Hwang Jung Eum’ s look but hated a similar style (maxi skirt/midriff top) on Jena Malone. I rest my case that you decide what you like based on the person and not the actual outfit.
I loved Jena Malone’s outfit, so please don’t so quick to judge me by saying I love a look based on the person. As it’s polite way of saying that I lack integrity
