Lucy Liu In Antonio Berardi – “Kung Fu Panda II” New York Premiere

Usually I’m asleep during New York Premieres because of the time difference, but I’m guessing the “Kung Fu Panda II” New York Premiere took place early today because it’s an animated flick.

Lucy Liu took to the red carpet with funny man Jack Black wearing an Antonio Berardi jacquard and crepe dress from the Spring 2011 collection.

Her black dress with a puffy skirt and an inverted white collar was paired with a hot pink Roger Vivier clutch.

If you look at the close up you can see the floral detail embossed into the bodice.

I love her black Casadei sandals with the multi-coloured heel.

This is a very winter-esqe dress for Spring don’t you think?

The first thing that came into my mind was “French maid”.
    Cute sandals and clutch, though.

I love Lucy in color so this is disappointing. This would be good for a press conference or protocol, not a summer premier.

love the shoes. With the short sleeves and the big cleavage i don’t find this dress too wintery. works for me.

      I agree.

The dress is cute, yet she made it look classy and sophisticated.
I don’t like black in the summer so this is not working for me. Especially since it’s a children’s animated feature.

I love the way she has put this all together – hair makeup and accessories – as for the dress color, black and white like kung fu panda?

The dress is cute, not very Spring, but I would have chosen different shoes, colored. The clutch is cute, but too long, for me, maybe because she’s short… I don’t know…

Lucy looks great…i really do like the dress. I don’t get a winter vibe at all given the rather breezy neckline…but the black is a bit much for a kids movie premiere. My fav part of the outfit is the heels…love them….the clutch not so much.

She is the elegance itself. I love her!

I don’t think it is wintery, but with that low cut neckline and embossed bodice, I would definitely say it is more suited to evening. By the way, nice of Jack to dress up a little!

I’ve always said that Lucy Liu is one of the best dressed celebrities. She ALWAYS gets it right. Have never not seen her achieve the perfect red carpet look.

Of course she is wearing black and white: this is the premiere of Kung Fu Panda! Get it?
