Most Unpredictable Award
Rihanna was very busy at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas last night.
She arrived on the red carpet wearing an oversized Max Azria white suit with nude Louboutin’s and a Jack Vartanian emerald ring.
RiRi opened the show with Britney Spears to perform, “S&M” which is very appropriate considering how they were both dressed. The singer also accepted the Radio Artist of the Year award.
Her white unbuttoned blouse showcased a gold fringe Solange Azagury-Partridge tassle necklace.
This is a very grown up sophisticated look for Rihanna, yet she still maintains her magnetic sex appeal.
I love how she’s never predictable at these events.

Very unexpected but a very pleasant surprised nonetheless! A very refreshing look and I love how her hair stands out against not only her outfit but the white carpet. Is the Comme Des Garcon I see on stage? Loving it!

this is my favorite red carpet look of hers in quite some time. this type of look really hews closer to her street-style. and while i do enjoy her couture fantasies and her outrageous video styles, she really radiates best in looks like these. and her hair cut looks fantastic this way.
it’s not so unexpected. She wore a similiar outfit in may 2009, a white costume from derek lam.

The performance was already subpar with just Rihanna. But Britney’s lipsyncing and lack of stage presence just brought the whole thing down. Terrible.
I was SO pleasantly surprised by this look from her. It’s an odd choice for a music award show red carpet but she looks so crisp and cool that I don’t even mind. The white looks beautiful against her skin and I even love the way her hair is styled here. Always a nice surprise when Rihanna classes up her act.

Love this! I only have a few Rihanna looks I like. One being the black and white cut out rose Marchesa dress and the other being the white gown with red roses (de la Renta I believe). This is one of my faves. Sophisticated, stunning, refreshing and unpredictable!
Really liking the change of pace from RiRi. It looks like she took an outfit out of Angelina Jolie’s closet and made it interesting and gave it some edge.
