Aging Award
Hailee Steinfeld attended the 2011 Young Hollywood Awards on Friday in LA.
The new face of Miu Miu arrived wearing a look from the Miu Miu Fall 2011 collection.
As suspected, this is not working for me.
Her ensemble consists of a white top and a black skirt with a peplum skirt overlay.
I’m sure the campaign will look amazing, but she would’ve fared better being the face of the Spring 2011 collection.
What we loved about Hailee when she first started making red carpet appearances was her ability to wear designer clothes whilst still maintaining her youth.
Unfortunately this look sucks that right out of Hailee and ages her by about 10 years.
I do however love her super glossy wavy hair.
Pink lips and Miu Miu glitter pumps completed Hailee’s look.

she has just aged about 20 years by wearing that. why put a CHILD in a ad campaign for high end fashion?
Isn’t Miu Miu directed for the youth? Maybe that was what they were going for with Hailee.
Whilst Miu Miu is the younger line, I personally thought that Prada was more youthful for Fall. This Miu Miu collection isn’t easy to pull off.
Michelle Williams is the only one to be successful so far.

This look doesn’t work for her. She needs something younger looking.
This exactly what I knew would happen when I heard that they named her the new face. The fall collection was their most mature to date, not fitting of a 10 year old. She looks GENERATIONS older in this outfit. She needs to take a lesson from Ms. Elle Fanning.

oh dear, this is not working at all. I cant believe she is my sister’s age. My sister wouldnt even consider wearing something like that – she should try to be more youthful and wear shorter skirts/dresses/shorts

I liked Hailee a lot this past awards season, but when I saw this I just thought “oh no no no.”
I quite like the skirt but the shirt would be right for a nun. I don’t understand why designers choose such young ambassador, MiuMiu is a young line but not for teenagers, I think. But I’m sure it’s just because she was a revelation in the cinema business.

this is better suited to a stylish, powerful woman in her 40s on her way to her executive/corporate job. not age appropraite nut not event appropriate either!
She looks straight out of Mad Men. Usually, that’s a compliment but not for a gal her age.
Ugh, I love Hailee, but her stylists should be more consistent on how they dress her. I don’t want it to be predictable, but just keeping that style streak going.
