Sophia Bush attended the ‘Beauty Culture’ exhibition opening reception at Annenberg Space For Photography in Century City, California last night.
I’m a huge fan of Sophia so this is going to sting a bit.
Her Z Spoke by Zac Posen plaid dress from the Spring 2011 collection looks a bit costumey on her.
She doesn’t quite have the flare to pull this off.
Save this dress for the likes of Solange Knowles and Jena Malone. I think even Elle Fanning would’ve managed to pull this quirky look off.
The necklaces weren’t necessary.

i agree with you. Do not like the hair or the extra necklaces. Why would you put necklaces on a top like that.
Having said that – i adore this dress. It’s very cute with the black and yellow contrast and the bustier top gives her a great shape.
I don’t think Elle Fanning is quirky really. She is cute but not quirky-s he may go for that, but she is a Fanning. But I agree, I am not liking this dress on Sophia at all. Why did she choose THIS one?
I would have loved it if she had worn her hair in a sleek ponytail and if she hadn’t worn the necklace and the bracelets.
The proportions have completely changed on Sophia vs the runway presentation – the skirt is longer and the waist is lower, the final result (for me) is that the dress’ flirty charm is lost….
Am I the only one liking this?
I liked it too – maybe not the necklace, but I liked it!
I think she looks adorable and totally pulls it off. Dislike the hair very much, and clearly the necklaces are unnecessary – but the fundamental of how she wears the dress is working for me!
She looks ok however i think if it had been a bit shorter it would have looked so much better! but you are correct, she is not quirky enough to pull off sth like this. Random but I would love to see Sophia in Marchesa or Chloe…classic and elegant!
I agree with the comments made bre jewelery. I do love the dress and think she would have looked great with wavy hair.
I would’ve loved to see that on Leighton Meester..
I I kind of like it. Yes not BDOTW but a change from the normal frocks we see her wear. I do wish she would go back to brunette but I am loving seeing Sophia on the Red Carpet
this is sooo cute on the runway, but it just falls flat on her
I would love this on Hailee Steinfeld.
Shorter, no necklaces and hair in a sassy ponytail and I think she would have looked great. It’s not terrible as it is, but it could certainly be better.
i actually like it on her!
It really shortens her.
I also could imagine someone like Zooey Deschanel is outfit.
