Uma Thurman is the only one so far giving Gwen Stefani a run for her money on the red carpet at the 2011 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival this evening.
The juror for this festival wore yet another Chanel Couture gown, this time from the Fall 2008 collection.
Her grey gown with floral appliqué around the neckline is drastically improved off the runway without the floral detail around the waist.
I adore this colour on Uma, and I’m not usually a fan of anything grey.
She has quite a knack of looking so statuesque in flats.
Wearing flats has the opposite effect for me.

Regal & divine looking…just a dream.
Amen!
This gown is snoozeville to begin with, even though Uma looks great. This isn’t BDOTW at all, as the gown lacks BDOTW wow factor.
Yep, ho hum.
I am a fan of everything grey maybe that’s why i love this dress so much especially on Uma she kopla divine in it!
My keyboard is norwegian i am sorry: she LOOKS divine…
Simple, beautiful and elegant.
I believe the gown is a bit tight around her legs or is that just the pose?
soooo beautiful!!! love,love,love it!
Uma looks utterly amazing. I think grey tones look great on blondes, she’s proof of that.
Although she looks lovely I prefer the runway because it needs the belt and I like the gathering at the waist and hips. On Uma it makes her a bit wide
This grey seems to have a bit of lavander in it and that’s why it looks great on Uma – she looks so long and lean, very nice, but I don’t really like the design of the dress itself that much, especially the rosettes around the neckline……I do love how elegant she looks in sandals, that’s a hard thing to pull off with a long gown….
No words, thats divine!!
love the dress hate those shoes
I love her more than Gwen, but i ADORE Milla in Atelier Versace above everyone
how is it possible to like every Versace gown? Do you like other brands?
Yes I love Elie Saab, but I don’t make a gown of his my favourite just because he designed it.
I disagree with you in every post about Uma, she looked every time in Cannes, exception when she wore versace. Her make up and hair ruined every look. And she have one of the ugliest feet in the world…
*She looked bad in every look in Cannes, exception for the Versace dress.
I don’t like the fit. If I were tall, I would wear more flats, FC you would look good!
I feel I walk better in heels. I tend to slouch in flats
Amazing! I love this dress. The roses on the top are brilliant.
Uma is a goddess! She could totally be a runway model – tall, slender, unconventionally beautiful, and not cheesy-commercial like Victoria’s Secret angels. Gown + flats never look better. She’s stunning.
Wow, stunning again. Flat sandals somehow enhance her goddess-vibe, where they’d just make most of us mortals looks short and casual.
She looks great.
