Naomi Campbell looked amazing on the red carpet at the 2011 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival this evening.
Usually she takes us on a rollercoaster ride of good and bad fashion choices during Cannes, but she’s been very consistent this year.
The supermodel opted for a nude fringed gown from the Givenchy Fall 2010 Couture collection.
Her gown has an embroidered panel which isn’t as lined as the version presented on the model, plus Naomi’s gown has shorter sleeves.
I was relieved that it wasn’t one of the samey pieces we’ve seen on Liv Tyler, Beyonce Knowles and Carine Roitfeld.
I’m glad she explored other pieces from the Givenchy Couture collection.

She looks INCROYABLE! And its about time someone wore other pieces from the collection. A tip of the hat to you Naomi, well done.
She does look amazing.
I wish she pulled her hair back so we could see the detail on the shoulder panel. Other than that I am loving this.
I agree with the hair comment (and the rest). It would also make for a very nice change as her hair seems to have been the same for years.
I’m brazilian and I’d love if you post Alinne Moraes photos in Cannes. She is so beautiful
If anyone Naomi is the one to wear it! The tone is beautiful against her skin. The “concept” of this gown is a little “too constructed” for my taste….
I’m still getting a same-y vibe.
She can really carry these ornately constructed gowns off – she looks like an exotic princess, very beautiful..
Isn’t it interesting – and a little sad – that we call this color “nude” even though it’s nothing like the color of Naomi’s own birthday suit.
Race-central thinking is embedded in our very language and we rarely notice it.
No, I don’t like it. This dress seems a “post-modern” curtain.
It’s pretty similar to the one she wore to the MET gala. I wish she had worn her hair up like she did to that event
of course, she pulls it off like the super-supermodel she is, but just like her mcqueen confection at the met gala, it’s not my favorite look for her. she just looks so AT HOME in alaia.
