Ines de la Fressange, model and Chanel muse in the 80s, has been attending the 2011 Cannes Film Festival as one of the spokespersons for L’Oreal.
She was once included on the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame and I can see why.
On the first day she wore a Carven Fall 2011 black gown for the opening ceremony.
The following day she wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 strapless eggplant satin gown with draping at the waist to attend the “Sleeping Beauty” Premiere.
Finally for the “Habemus Papam” Premiere she wore a Chanel Fall 2007 Couture dress.
Each look is very different, but she styled them all with Roger Vivier accessories.
First wearing black Vivier flat sandals, then gorgeous fuchsia pink flats and finally grey flats.
I love each of her shoe choices, but I wish she’d also made her clutch choices as interesting and varied as her footwear.

I agree.
Very few women can dare wearing flats (not to mention thong sandals) on the red carpet without looking ridiculous, and Ines is one of those. Lovely shoes and gorgeous dresses.
I think there’s nothing more elegant than a graceful woman wearing flat shoes under a beautiful gown, there’s always something tacky in high heels

I LOVE the first dress! Looks better than the version on the runway. BUT I wish she wore heels with it & fixed her hair, would have been STUNNING!
Lol. She can pick any Vivier clutch and she picked three black ones? Ridiculous. Roger Vivier is known for its crazy bags – feathers, crystals, bling-bling, applique, perforation, plexiglass, fringe, feathers again…

A few weeks back Roger Vivier had a cocktail party and she attended to launch her new book on style. In the flesh she has horrible skin, (she smokes and it shows) a very very bad hair style and was wearing a dreadful liberty print pink short jacket. The only positive things to say was she has a terrific lean figure and was wearing great shoes (Roger Vivier). Having grown up with her and having a husband who used to have a major crush I felt disappointed in how she has aged. I also wish I had brought my husband so he could reassess.
She looks nice here though except for the heavy hair mostly because you can’t see her skin up close.
It is often disappointing meeting celebs when that happens. The experience can often leave you crushed.
I know if I was looking jat the pictures here I would think my comments were nuts but I have met her a few times and each time thought “huh?”.
This is a beautiful woman with Style with a captial S. She looks wonderful, effortless, groomed (but not overly so) and alluring.
