Thankfully Zoe Saldana heard my plea and didn’t opt for a minimalistic look for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival Premiere for “The Tree Of Life” this evening.
The beautiful actress looked stunning wearing an Armani Privé long bustier-style gown in white silk organza bodice and a red and white striped cascading skirt.
This is a breath of fresh air from Zoe for me. I love the detail on the hip.
Nicholas Kirkwood python metallic rose suede heels and a stunning gold cuff completed her look.
I haven’t complied my top 10 for Cannes yet, but I already know this look is it.

yes! this is drama combined with innate good taste plus super-awareness of what looks good on herself.
It’s really sad that as soon as I saw this photo, I could tell by the bodice that it was Armani. It’s very reminiscent of the Spring 2010 Couture collection. Zoe looks beautiful though, as the colors work well against her skin tone. I love it.
And I just saw Li Bing Bing and it appears she is wearing Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture. Thank You FC for all the coverage and the hard work you put into it!!

It’s sad because I didn’t have to check Style.com to know; the top looks like the ones on the gowns worn by Jennifer Lopez, Amanda Seyfried and Naomi Watts from the same collection. Although I do sometimes find myself wasting time on Style.com picking out dream choices…Haha!!!

Wow as someone who wore almost exclusively Armani for several years but got tired of it’s saminess and gone off the brand I really could not tell that it was Armani-at first glance- having not been to a Prive show for a few seasons can you tell me is this Black Label or Prive? I’m guessing the later. In any case it is a stunning dress and so far my favourite of Cannes

Perfect for Cannes, captures the sensibility of the place – a fun in the sun kind of place – and yet still stays with the drama of the event. This is probably gonna be my favorite dress as I can’t find anything to criticize at all…..yay Zoe!

LOVE it. I said I want to her to keep up the minimalist thing, but you know what? This is Cannes AND armani prive is the next best thing. I love armani prive’s gowns. This is such a cool design.
To me this is the absolute example of good taste: I would’ve never picked this gown, but she knows how to work a redcarpet like very few others! Bravo Zoe! Nonstop Cannes!

Me neither, but it’s beyond fabulous.
I do not like – it looks like a glamourous beach towel tied over a glamorous swimsuit. Normally she’s perfection, but this is not to my tastes.

This is so different to what others wore. It is a sculptural gown and gives her a stunning silhouette. Combined with the red and white stripes it truly shines.
