I am usually not a fan of SJP, and I wouldn’t have given that dress a second look for a gown choice… but look at her working it. I love it!

OMG, this is sooo hard! I love how Dita won her spot on the poll. And I just wanted to remark how FC didn’t feature Aishwarya in Elie Saab despite loving that look, as readers weren’t fond of it. Just so everyone appreciates how “biassed” this poll is…

Fan Bing Bing (of course) in Elie Saab Couture. Whilst I loved her Atelier Versace, the white dress and beautiful jewellery made me fall in love with this look.

I personally prefer fan in the red Elie Saab, but Versace gown itself is simply AMAZING. My note goes to it eventually. Btw, Dita and Roise both look very attractive, they will prob get my vote if it is not during Cannes.=) Cannes only comes once a year so let`s get crazy for these fancy gowns.xD

1. Ash Rai …I said the dress is ultra futurist . The (electic) blus smokey and gold in the bright day light in Cannes ……can look “mauvais gout” or “too much”
The hair stylist did a great job! C’est tres ose!…great clutch.
With all of my explaination……the piece that have broken this modern futurist look was the huge red watch!..
And most of all the Iconic beauty of Ash Rai!

Aishwarya for me! Love the modern dress, the curves and the attitude. She wins just for overall impact. Second would be Penelope. Although Fan was the most consistent, none of the featured looks were my faves. Guess my tastes are weird! Tbh I am disappointed by this year’s Cannes. I feel last year gave us a lot more gowns.

Does Fan Bing Bing’s purple Versace remind any one else of Zoe Saldana’s Givenchy from the Oscars? The ombre skirt effect. Both are lovely regardless.

As much as I love Fan Bing’s looks, but I had to vote for SJP, the dress is unusual and looks fabulous, and she is working the hell out of it. I love the unconventionality of the whole look.
I can’t really agree with you. SJP can’t match this fabulous gown for her black skin. The color of the gown is too dark to be worn by SJP. And then I can just see a piece of dark cloud moving on the red carpet. A DISASTER!!!!!!!!

Fan’s red crane gown is just beautiful. And the hair and make-up compliment it so well. The traditional pattern is still incredibly modern. She’s looked great all week! I can’t wait to see what else she has in store.

Poppy Delevigne in Chanel. She works it with the perfect legs, toss hair and red-lips. Not everyone can pull this off and look chic. Miss Fan looks fabulous is anything.
It’s not that no one stands out for me, more the opposite, and I’m having a terrible time choosing one: it boils down to a four way tie for me between Diane, Fan Bing Bing in her beautiful Chris Bu Kewen crane gown, SJP in Elie Saab, and finally, Aishwarya Rai in Armani Prive…..As Fan Bing Bing has been so stellar overall, I think I’ll chose her as the star of this first week at Cannes.

I was a really baffling scenario, but I don’t want it to affect me featuring Sonam again, but if I receive the same reaction then it would be wise to reconsider.
I think it’s safe to say Fan Bing Bing will take this week, whichever look it is, although the Atelier Versace is my personal favorite. Good lord, that woman is perfection.
If I can choose 5, I will go with Fan Bing Bing in Elie Saab Couture and Atelier Versace , Aishwarya Rai in Armani Privé, Penelope Cruz in Marchesa and Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein. But I can only choose one. It is hard, accturally my favorate one the FBB in red Elie Saab.
Even if I love Diane in that stunning gold gown, my favorite is Rosie in that beautiful dress by MaxMara, she’s perfect from head to toe.
