Tang Wei In Dolce & Gabbana – 2011 Cannes Film Festival “The Artist” Premiere

Wow…and not in a good way.

Tang Wei has worn many amazing looks during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, but she got it so very wrong at “The Artist” Premiere this evening.

There are only two pictures available of her compared to 49 for Fan Bing Bing, so it’s clear that even the photogs didn’t think much of her look.

Tang wore a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 dress with their signature star print for the fall season.

Her dress would be perfect for a photocall, but is falls way short for a Premiere dress, especially when paired with the jacket and bag.

I thought Bryce Dallas Howard’s look was my least favourite so far at Cannes, but I take that back because this is.

Every major European designer has a suite full of gowns in hotels throughout Cannes, so there is no excuse for this.

Cannes is not the time to do casual or fish net tights *shudders*

I don’t even know if this is appropriate for a photocall. If it were not for the fishnets, I would have thought that she was going to a luncheon.

Do you know who she was wearing for the photocall on the boat at Cannes? It’s a cream dress with a bow on the collar and a print of grass and butterflies on the skirt of it. Let me know if you find out! Thanks!

With totally different accessories, it could have passed for a photocall, but not for a premier! Oh dear, and I’ve been so liking her style until now.

I agree that this look would be right for a photocall, for the red carpet is nonsense. A cardigan on Cannes red carpet? No way.

Gah, if I was lucky enough to go to Cannes I would be in gowns all the time. This is a photocall look at best.
