Emily Browning was seen cozying up to Max Irons, at Finch’s Quarterly Review Filmmakers Dinner honoring Oscar-winning British film producer Jeremy Thomas at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc during 2011 Cannes Film Festival last night.
The Australian actress is completely free of red carpet nerves wearing a Miu Miu Spring 2011 dress, which was presented as a top during the Paris runway show.
The black and white printed satin dress has been given a twist with a neon-pink cut-out leather straps.
It would’ve been awesome if she’s opted for some pink heels, but instead she opted for nude peep-toes which are becoming (or are) just as predictable and safe as black pumps.
I know many of you are tired of seeing nude heels on the red carpet.
I love her sequined clutch.

So cute, dress and clutch, shoes so boring – too bad.
I like the neckline on the runway version better and ditto on the pink heels.
I don’t mind nude heels but they really don’t work here. The same goes for her clutch, it’s lovely but meant for another outfit.
Perfect dress for her, but I agree the shoes are beyond boring. And I love the way her hair’s grown out since she cut it last summer.
I actually like the shoes. I mean, sure, she could have gone with hot pink to match the dress but then she’d have to travel with like a million pairs of shoes.
It would have been an OK look if it weren’t for the cigarette. I can’t focus on anything after spotting that.
Unfortunately the dress fits like a muumuu, distracting from her look. She also looks matronly due to the length of the skirt. A bit less low in the front and I’d wear this as a sundress to the grocery store. The worst, though, is that she looks out of place and very uncomfortable – no life, no smile.
I agree, it seems a nightdress (a cheap one), the runway version was interesting and a bit funny, this is nothing. I don’t understand why designers decide to change their creations this way. Except for the pink details this doesn’t even seem a MiuMiu dress.
Nice dress, shame about the awful cigarette! Yuck!
I can’t believe that I’m writing this, but I prefer the runway version. This version is too watered down from the original. The fit is a little big as well.
And, the ciggie is irking me.
did i see a cigarette in her right hand??????
I think most of the time half her problem would be solved by better posture and better fitting “support” undergarments
Agree with FC, it would have been awesome with a hot pink shoe.
