Mia Wasikowska looked breath-taking on the red carpet for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Restless” Premiere.
She opted for a sleek Roland Mouret Fall 2011 gown which was inspired by a shorter version which we saw on the runway in Paris.
Her lava red mermaid gown was only accessorized with silver Boucheron earrings and a simple silver ring.
I’m delighted she let the gown to all the talking, as it truly speaks for itself.
I super chic updo completed her look.

This is the best I have seen her look. She looks amazing. Love the color on her and the modifications.
I agree completely.
I like how the gown was adapted from the runway verstion to look more formal and Cannes appropriate. She looks beautiful in a classic and understated way.
I love the adaptation too.
I think this is the best she has ever looked.
Yes I agree I thought the exact same thing
Me too – for the first time when looking at her, I thought “yes!” not “erm…. no”
I am in total agreement. If you had asked me last night who would have been the star of Day 2 of the festival I wouldn’t have thought for one second before answering Tilda Swinton. She left me feeling a little flat in her Haider Ackermann gown but Mia has more than compensated for that slight disappointment. She has never looked better – the gown is clean and precise and she wears it with such ease. This is my best dressed of the week so far, without question.
I know! Stunning! And she looks so happy too!
She does look lovely and I love your description of the colour as lava but I do find it a bit autumnal and not keen on red dresses on the red carpet as they can disappear . Heading over to mount street and putting my name down for the sort version.
Stunning. But I would love to see this on an older actress like Jodie Foster who is scheduled to attend.
Despite being such a simple look, I am stunned. She indeed looks breathtaking. Beautiful!
Lovely. Finally something non-boring and non-black.
Lovely. I really like it. Simple but not boring at all.
GORGEOUS! STUNNING! Such a big fan of red dresses at the moment, timeless and elegant!
Great look. The dress is very beautiful.
The best I’ve ever seen her – love this…
Simple and beautiful.
Woah! I have a hard time believing this is Mia, seriously. She looks beyond stunning.
Perfection.
Quite gorgeous–she might be the best dressed of the day
OH my gosh! Mia looks picture perfect for Cannes, simple, sleek, great colour, excellent hair and clean make up. Five stars!!
I don’t like. The dress is pretty but I wish she would dress for her age. This look makes her look old…
Gorgeous!
There is nothing to add or remove from this look. She looks perfect.
Flawless.
i love Mia’s Hair so classic and clean how did they do it?? her hair is a short bob amazing!!
The dress looked fantastic too she looks so elegant…..
Wow, this is amazing. Perfect color, cut, everything. Styled impeccably. Best she’s looked.
Red is not for blondes…..only Femme Fatale blondes….with black smokey….and wild flying hair….the dress looses it glamour
she wore like hanger! and really sloppy attiude!
