Emily Browning In Valentino – 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Sleeping Beauty” Premiere

Emily Browning continues to gain more and more confidence on the red carpet, and that was showcased at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Sleeping Beauty” Premiere tonight.

She looked beautiful wearing a Valentino embroidered gown.

We are more used to seeing her wearing quirky or knee-length dress, but she got the Cannes memo and opted for something very beautiful and glamorous for her premiere.

I really like this look because you can see that Emily is getting more confident on the carpet. Its difficult for her because she was never really … *big* in Hollywood so she never really went to many red carpet events but now as she is gaining popularity, I’m glad to see her slowly becoming more and more comfortable on the red carpet.

I don’t like this dress. It washes her out. the dress doesn’t nothing for her. The accessories nad makeup are bland too.

I like this look. Haven’t been a big fan of her red carpet looks recently, but this is a step in the right direction.

She is so tiny… I can’t help but wish to see this dress on someone taller. I like her hair, though.

I agree with the other comments that the color washes her out. Why not add some color with her earrings or a bracelet? And her hair? Looks like she just came from the gym. Sorry to be so harsh but this is Cannes – not like she didn’t have notice and planned her look. It seems too thrown together for such a major event.

It is a pretty enough dress. The bodice is a bit ill-fitting – a tad loose one side. Is she very short or is the dress causing this illusion?

I LOVE her hair. It’s my favourite cut on anyone at the minute. Ive been growing my hair for 3 years but it would reeeeally make me want to go for the chop.

Pretty dress, but I don’t like the color at all. And I guess I’m too old to appreciate the hair style.

I don’t see how you get more confidence from this, FC. Wearing nude at Cannes seems like a tactic to hide in plain sight. I wish she would’ve worn something quirky. Maybe a gown version of her Marc Jacobs MET Gala dress

I guess, though she always seems so hesitant and uncomfortable. Hopefully she’ll follow Kristen Stewart’s footsteps.
