Sarah Jessica Parker In Halston Heritage – Robin Hood Foundation Gala

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Robin Hood Foundation Gala in New York City yesterday, and it looks like her hairstylist was inspired by Cheryl Cole.

The ‘Sex And The City’ star sported voluminous lion-esqe mane with her Halston Heritage Fall 2011 gown.

Her purple cashmere racer-back sweater dress with a matching full-length cardigan was paired with a blue Fendi Fall 2011 clutch with marine blue stones and diamond earrings.

SJP seems to love the colour purple.

She was recently spotted wearing a purple coat from the same Fall 2011 collection.

Love the dress, but the jury is still out on the hair.

Hair is awful, awful, awful! I can’t believe SJP would sink so low as to copy Cheryl Cole’s hair. I’m sooooooooo disappointed.

    • robbie May 10, 2011 at 18:22 #

what makes you think she is copying cheryl cole/tweedys hair?

      • Fashion Critic May 10, 2011 at 18:28 #

it’s fair to say the style has been inspired by Cole who only sported the style the day before.

        It’s a fair assessment

  2. Terry May 10, 2011 at 17:12 #

There’s something deeply wrong in this hairstyle.

    • Rachel May 10, 2011 at 17:31 #

I agree! So wronnng! I love her but she seems to be losing her mojo!

    • justme May 10, 2011 at 20:55 #

Lol seriously. I’m trying to figure out what part of her brain thought that hair was a good look. She might want to check that frontal lobe ;)

  3. MichelleTina May 10, 2011 at 17:29 #

omg the hair literally scared me when the page loaded. Love the purple!

    • Linda May 11, 2011 at 17:52 #

LOL – I actually recoiled slightly from the screen as I scrolled down and saw it! That sounds cruel, but I don’t mean to be. The rest of the ensemble is wonderful, but that hairstyle just threw me off.

  4. Alina May 10, 2011 at 17:29 #

    I’m speechless.In veeery bad way.

  5. DivaMom May 10, 2011 at 17:33 #

Love purple, ergo I love this dress! I wish SJP would get a manicure, for once in her life though…sigh.

    • e May 11, 2011 at 00:19 #

AGREE! that horrified me more than the hair. at least she did her hair – the nails got ignored completely!

      • Julie May 11, 2011 at 12:50 #

        The nails scared me too.

  6. frommdq May 10, 2011 at 17:34 #

WOW, THAT IS A BIIIIG HAIR! She find a new way to add inches to herstyle, other than the ussual sky high hills.

  7. Kiran Sooknandan May 10, 2011 at 17:35 #

The hair makes me think of that episode of Sex and the City when Carrie walks the runway in Dolce & Gabbana with huge back-combed hair. I like the 60′s Barbarella hair in theory but it is way too high and dark roots are not a good look!

  8. Gigi May 10, 2011 at 17:38 #

That hairstyle accentuates all the features of her face you don’t want to have accentuated: her nose, her ears. And her beautiful eyes look kind of beady with all that liner. Gorgeous dress, but sad day for hair… she must get a new hair stylist… like yesterday. Such a shock after her great Met look.

  9. Jennesia May 10, 2011 at 17:38 #

I don’t think she has the face to pull this hairstyle of. The dress fits her perfectly though.

  13. Rebecca May 10, 2011 at 18:00 #

Hmmm…not perfect. Love the clutch and the dress–she has an amazing figure. The hair is definitely OTT–looks like the days of “Dallas” and the Carringtons

  14. maria May 10, 2011 at 18:03 #

i love the dress and cardigan, plus the accessories. Real shame about the hair.

  15. robbie May 10, 2011 at 18:24 #

i know i shouldnt but i love the hair! SJP pulls it off, where as cheryl just looked like she was going to a fancy dress party for a 70s theme.

love the colour on her. that clutch those oh my that is lovely.

  16. Lee Ann May 10, 2011 at 18:25 #

This goes down with princess eugenie’s hat as things that might have worked in theory but definitely not in practice

  19. dee May 10, 2011 at 18:49 #

The dress and clutch are fabulous. The hair on the othre hand is tragic.

  20. Moxie May 10, 2011 at 19:33 #

The hair is horrible. It completely ruins the look, which is a shame.

  21. -N May 10, 2011 at 19:36 #

Oh my Oh my!! what happened up there O.O

  22. Lucía May 10, 2011 at 20:05 #

  23. olivia May 10, 2011 at 20:24 #

What is with celebs and this full blown hair? it’s horrible…

  24. Giuseppi Giraffe May 10, 2011 at 20:39 #

I liked this on Cheryl Cole, but on SJP it just looks like a wall of hair.

The dress is a nice color though.

  25. michelle May 10, 2011 at 20:45 #

good lord, that hair #noma’am. That clutch, #yesma’am.

  26. Naomi May 10, 2011 at 21:21 #

This juror is in and the verdict is GUILTY.
Other than the hair she looks great, and I agree with all those above who wants that clutch!

    • Fashion Critic May 10, 2011 at 21:56 #

LOL….You are so funny. That really made me LOL

  27. Taylor May 10, 2011 at 22:27 #

Oh what big hair you have? All the better to…

Loving everything but the “thing” on her head.

  28. Jennifer May 10, 2011 at 23:28 #

Absolutely horrendous. Up there in worst hair I’ve ever seen. It’s like she’s playing a joke on us.

  29. moja31 May 10, 2011 at 23:57 #

i hope this electroshock therapy victim hair doesn’t become a trend.

  30. Sharon May 11, 2011 at 00:31 #

I’ve always thought SJP could pull off almost anything. I was wrong I love everything about this look except, of coruse, the hair Too “Lion King” and it doesn’t suit her.

  31. KateS May 11, 2011 at 02:26 #

The dress is sleek and nice without being exciting, but the hair is far, far too exciting!

  32. lulu May 11, 2011 at 03:26 #

    hairrrible!! and those nails!

  33. louisa May 11, 2011 at 06:51 #

    i don’t like the hair

  34. Cassiie May 11, 2011 at 12:18 #

Love the dress, hate the hair.

  35. imam May 11, 2011 at 16:49 #

I love the dress and the clutch, they look good on her… But I dont like the “barbarela” hair, I’ve seen this kinda hair style on Anne Hathaway, it looks good on her, but on SJ Parker…NO, it makes her look older, unhappy, angry, and desperate… but I still love Carie Bradshaw… :D

  36. coco May 13, 2011 at 12:10 #

I like the dress and i looooove the clutch but the hair must be a joke right?
