Gucci’s Fall 2011 press preview took place in London recently.
I was excited to see many of the stand out runway pieces like the fuchsia pink halter gown with the floral appliqués which was recently worn by Jennifer Lopez at the 2011 Met Gala, and the colourful fedoras with the feather accents.
I immediately made a beeline for the bags and was taken by the ‘Gucci 1973’ collection above.
They will come in various exotic skins; Crocodile, lizard and ostrich. The colours are just as varied with the sizes ranging from a tiny tote to shoulder bags.
The detachable strap means that this bag can easily convert into a clutch.
Other highlights included cozy fur lined ankle boots, sexy studded stiletto’s, belts in a variety of colours, the New Jackie bag with a long detachable shoulder straps, black patent leather knee-high boots, T-bar suede sandals with gold detailing, oversized sunglasses, a tan ostrich bag with gold horse-bit detailing and some luscious blue snake-skin pumps.
Celebs have already fallen in love with the Gucci Fall 2011 collection.
We’ve seen 3 looks worn by Eva Mendes, Beyonce, Evan Rachel Wood and Jennifer Lopez.
I’m sure it’s won’t be long before muse Florence Welch and many other celebs are spotted wearing this collection.
The ’1973′ bag is going to be a favourite. I can feel it.
