Call me Cruise, but I actually didn’t hate the Olsen twins at the 2011 Met Gala.
My usual first reaction is to roll my eyes at these two, but they didn’t look homeless on this occasion and their looks weren’t ridiculously oversized.
Ashley Olsen wore a romantic vintage Christian Dior gown with puffy sleeves and a thigh-high slit.
She accessorized with Judith Leiber Guilloche clutch, navy Christian Louboutin Pigalle’s and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels.
Mary-Kate Olsen also wore a vintage dress.
Her red and green vintage Givenchy Couture is beautiful. I can see myself wearing something like this.
She complemented her gown with Judith Leiber Flip Top clutch and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels which include a stunning emerald ring.

I agree – I looooove MM’s jewellery and the dress is gorgeous, although I think its a bit casual for a gala. Make-up wise though I think its the best she has looked in a long time!

I was surprised too because I usually think they’re totally kooky, but Ashley was actually one of my favorites at this event.

ashley’s dress was simple, but smth graceful & kinda romantic was about it that made me love it, easily one of my favs at this event as well
, i wasnt too keen on her make up tho, i would have preffered her blush to be more blend in & not so overly pronounced, other than that its an awesome look

It’s the Met Gala, therefore, comb your hair, MK. I want to like her look, but the hair ruins it for me.
Interesting dress on Ashley, though a smile would have been good.

I quite like Ashley, MaryKate looks like a walking skeleton as usual, she seems to be drawing in that dress.

Ashley’s puffy sleeves reminded me of Princess Diana’s wedding dress…. And I think MK should have worn a belt or something, she’s kinda drowning in that dress
Totally agree with adding a belt. If she didn’t have her hand on her waist, it would look quite boxy on her.
Ashley was one of my favorites at this event. So dramatic.

MK, however, is just not doing it for me, shes drowning in her dress and hiding behind her hair, as usual. i know she can bring it, just look at her twin! i feel like for all her fronting that she doesn’t really care, she just isn’t self confident enough to see herself as the beautiful woman she is.
Well your not alone because I really did like these especially ashleys I love oh so vintage.
