You’ll be pleased to discover that Jennifer Hudson didn’t wear a fitted dress to the 2011 Met Gala in New York City last night.
She looked beautiful wearing a custom Vera Wang ballgown.
The smoke grey tissue organza strapless ballgown has a pleated bodice and a draped organza skirt with ivory tulle rosettes.
Jennifer wore half her hair up and half down with a nude subtle lip shade and Fred Leighton jewels completing her look.

That lace front is a disaster.
Jennifer and Serena Williams were the worst dressed of the whole night.
I am glad she wore something different but something looks off. I don’t maybe the hairstyle or maybe she needs a necklace or something.

I think she looks beautiful, but I’m not loving this dress.
I like it from the hips up, but the hemline ruins it for me.
I’m surprised others don’t like this look, I actually sighed and said Wow out loud when I saw this, I think she looks stunning! This isn’t trying to be anything super-fancy, it’s just a perfect gala look. The color is also perfect for her skin, and she looks healthy and glowing and happy.
I don’t like the skirt. It looks like its stuffed with toilet paper. And, it looks a little tight in the bust.
I like the bodice and the color.
Apparently I’m in the minority, but I think she looks lovely. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen her in a full-skirted dress of any kind, so this is a nice change. I also like her hair and makeup.
