Australian actress Emily Browning attended the 2011 Met Gala in New York City last night.
Despite her inability to look comfortable on the red carpet, she does make great choices.
She opted for a Marc Jacobs guipere lace dress from the Fall 2011 collection.
The Bordeaux lace cap sleeve dress with a high collar was styled with Sergio Rossi black patent slingbacks which feel too heavy for her look.
I think Emily would’ve been overwhelmed in a big tulle gown, so whilst I’m not crazy about this modified dress I’m glad she kept the look simple.
A red and black polka dot clutch completed her look.

This look would be way better without that clutch. I just doesn’t go with this look
I reminds me of ScarJo’s dress ate the Oscars.
Boring.
Meh dress, awful accessories
This could have been a knockout with the right accessories.
Prada SS 11 did this lace dress so much better and as it was long she wouldn’t have had to modify it. Shame.
This could have been so much better.
I think that she should have worn the runway version. I am not a fan of the neckline.
Really like the clutch.
This look would look outstanding on somebody else
No, no. I hate the shade of red of the bag with the dress. And the shoes.
SHE LOOKS LIKE A FREAKING MIDGET
she is small.. and has a stunning face-she should accentuate it a more often!
i wish the dress was longer and maybe had a train… that would help, and i definitely agree that the shoes are wrong for her and her make up is kind of dull. the clutch is not that great and her hair is to housewife..
It’s a nice dress, but the length looks awkward to me. It needs to be a few inches longer or short like on the model.
