Kerry Washington attended the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, DC this weekend.
The actress wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 dress.
Her oriental inspired navy dress with red floral print and fringe detailing is paired with LV Spring 2011 black sandals and a clutch from the same collection.
I’m glad she opted for simple accessories with this look, because nothing should distract us from the beautiful details on this dress.

i’m nit-picking cos she looks amazing (love the lipstick with that dress) but why black accessories with a navy dress! it’s my personal bugbear…
for some reason the dress doesn’t feel as vibrant and lively as it did on the runway.. but she still looks great eventhough it’s not an easy dress to pull off
I think it’s just the lighting making it look faded-out.
The way it hits her leg lower and the wrinkles from the ride over probably add to that. Pity.

i hate the length on her. beautiful dress and she looks pretty but doesnt really wow me.

… but what IS distracting us is those creases! And that ashy make-up!

This dress was beautiful on the runway but it’s a bit meh on her. First of all I see a lot of creases, plus the length is quite wrong and doesn’t flatter her. I also dislike the shoes. Not a miss, not a hit, anyway.

I love the dress and I love Kerry’s fashion sense but there’s something off with this look. Perhaps, if the bottom half was tailored and altered to hug her legs a bit more, then she wouldn’t look so wide considering the dress ends at her ankles.
