In New York City last night, Anna Kendrick arrived at the Time 100 Gala which honors the “100 Most Influential People in the World.”

She opted for a Z Spoke by Zac Posen Fall 2011 LBD.

The sexy black Z Spoke cocktail dress with a plunging neckline was paired with black pumps and Cartier jewels.

Despite the jewels I’m not getting any sparkle from this look.

The dress is gorgeous, but like her Twilight co-star Ashley Greene yesterday, Anna breathes no life into this look.

A pop of colour is desperately needed via a clutch, her shoes or a rich lip colour would have lifted this look.

I have struggled to love Anna Kendrick’s red carpet looks since her fabulous Zac Posen dress at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards which was nearly a year ago.

Blake Lively glided down the red carpet at the Time 100 Gala in New York City last night.

The event honors the “100 Most Influential People in the World.” Blake made the list along with Justin Bieber, Oprah Winfrey and Tom Ford.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress becomes the latest star to opt for a rich red ‘do following Drew Barrymore and Mandy Moore.

Channeling Ariel from Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid,’ Blake looked gorgeous wearing a sea green Zuhair Murad Couture gown with red soft waves.

The ombre chiffon v-neck gown with a crystal beaded bodice inset looks like a similar version from the Spring 2011 Couture collection.

The gown is so Blake.

I’m not surprised she went for the sexier version of this Couture dress, but that is why I love her. She’s never afraid to put it out there.

I also love the new hair colour. It gives her a fresh glow.

Love it or hate it?

Elsa Pataky and actor Vin Diesel attended the photocall for “Fast & Furious 5: Rio Heist” at the Santo Mauro Hotel in Madrid, Spain yesterday.

The Spanish actress wore a tan leather Catherine Deane mini dress with laser cut details.

Leather dresses can often be tricky to pull off on the red carpet, but Elsa is working the hell out of this one.

The celebrity favourite Sergio Rossi patent ‘Cachet’ slingbacks in nude, wavy locks, a gold cuff and a perfect pink pout completed her sexy look.

Liv Tyler attended a screening of her movie “Super” back in March wearing a Thakoon Addition dress.

The actress paired her royal blue, floral and polka-dot printed dress with a black blazer, black tights, Roger Vivier blue velvet heels and a black Lanvin ‘Happy Mini Pop’ bag.

I love how she made such a summery dress evening appropriate by teaming it with dark, sophisticated accessories. She strikes the balance between casual and chic perfectly and shows us how to take a daytime look into the night. Fresh makeup and loose wavy hair completes her look.

Rebecca Romijn took a more understated approach earlier this month when she wore the same silk-chiffon dress to attend the launch of “Just Fabulous” in West Hollywood.

The actress added only a pair of tan, strappy wedges and a row of bracelets to her outfit. She also kept her hair and makeup simple too, opting to pin back her fringe and add a touch of pink lipgloss.

When comparing this look against Liv’s, I do wish there was something more going on. Even though Rebecca’s look is more summery, I think she could have made just a bit more effort by choosing an interesting shoe or adding a fun bag or some pretty jewelry to liven up her look. It just feels a little too plain for my taste.

My vote is definitely going to Liv. She wins for her ability to make this dress look incredibly chic and cool.

Miranda Kerr continues to flaunt her new-yummy mummy curves on the red carpet.

The model attended the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival “The Good Doctor” Premiere with hubby Orlando Bloom.

She looked stunning wearing a Roland Mouret Galaxy dress from the Fall 2005 collection.

Twelve seasons on and the Galaxy dress is still the go-to dress to show off a gorgeous figure.

Miranda accessorized with hot pink Christian Louboutin pumps and a black quilted Lanvin bag.

My only disappointed with this look is that I wish Miranda had worn the right bra with this dress.

A balconette bra or a strapless bra would have worked better.

As a Victoria’s Secret model she should’ve known this.
