Catherine Middleton’s sister Philippa Middleton is the chief bridesmaid.
She also wore an Alexander McQueen dress which was designed and created by Sarah Burton.
The ivory satin-based crepe dress with a cowl front has the same button detail and lace trims as the Bride’s dress.
Pippa’s dress is similar in style to the red Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2009 dress Cameron Diaz wore to the 2010 Golden Globe Awards.

How to Achieve the Classic Blowout

Gosh I feel those adorable bridesmaids steel the spotlight.sooo cute:)
Gorgeous dress, Pippa looked stunning.
I really would like to know where I could buy this dress for my brothers wedding?
Is it bad if I say that I prefer Pippa’s dress to Kate’s wedding dress? I know she is marrying the heir apparent and everybody expects a big entrance and what not, but I love the simplicity of this dress.
i agree completely, pippa looks splendid, hopefully FC you will post a best dressed at the royal wedding poll
Pippa really looked incredible. I think I probably prefer this one too, with a long train and a few minor modifications I would have picked this as her wedding dress. I think that it is nice that they combined what essentially was Mcqueen’s design on Pippa with Sarah Burton, inspired clearly by some mcqueen collections a few years back on Kate.
Yep, this is better than Kate’s dress. I’d get married in this one!
I also think so!
I prefer her gown as well. I wasn’t wowed by Kate’s gown. Her sister on the other hand looks fantastic.
She looks great and ive always loved this dress
I dont think a WWIB poll is needed as it wouldnt be fair to Cameron
Wow they favor. LOL. She looks gorgeous as well.
another beautiful dress.
FC will you be posting about queen elizabeth? she looked so lovely.
Pippa’s gown is by Alice Temperley.
I loved this!!!!! I gasped whe I saw it, it was so lovely
so beautiful…..and cameron’s dress is the same.
I loved that the dress was understated and elegant, and not fancy enough to overshadow the bride. But I’m surprised that
1) it’s white, and
2) it’s not completely original…
Its tradition at British Royal weddings the bridesmaids wear white.
Ohh… did not know that. Thanks
isn’t that a temperley gown?
no clarence house have confirmed it is mcqueen.
thanks Robbie, I don’t know where Temperley came from
Daily Mail reported it was by Alice Temperley. But I see now that they have corrected their article. Thanks!
well I do this everyday.
The Daily Mail never get it right.
Surprised people treat it as gospel for fashion.
There is a model picture there as proof *sighs*
Yeah come on guys, you know better than to doubt FC,dont forget the daily mail have taken quotes from this website for use in their articles (my comments included!) FC is the fashion oracle, daily mail are always 2 steps behind..hope u have a lovely day celebrating fc hun xx
Thanks Tamia.
I always find it funny when the Daily Mail shamelessly take readers comments and quote them as their own
The Fashion Police does this too esp. Kelly.
nice dress, could be more elegant with a skin colour and make-up a little bit clsoer to the natural
I agree completely. A beautiful dress, and very classy, but the fake tan takes the whole look down a notch in my opinion. Still VERY beautiful though.
I agree – the tan was the one thing that let it down and made her look more like a WAG than a maid of honour.
Im debating if her tan is real or fake…it does sort of look natural. Kate has darker skin as does her mother and brother. Anyway, she looks beautiful!
Beautiful
I’m still drooling over Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden’s coral outfit. Gorgeous.
She was in Elie Saab
Oh I knew she is a great Elie Saab fan(and who can blame her?!) and wish she would wear one of his designs to the royal wedding. So sad I missed her on TV. Can’t wait to see her pics and read your comments.
For me Pippa stole the show. She looked incredible but since she didn’t compete in the same league as HRH Duchess of Cambridge I’ll say that they both share the number 1 spot. Chelsy’s davy was however terrible. She made a custom made Alberta Ferretty dress look tacky O_O
Pippa stole the show, agreed!
she looks so gorgeous!! is it traditional for her to wear white?
Pippa looked very beautiful too! This fit her so perfectly. I loved this almost as much as the wedding gown!
Beautiful and perfect for a royal wedding. Sarah Burton got it exactly right and made two gorgeous dresses.
Do you have pictures of Shaikha Mozah? I’m trying to search online there aren’t any
Amazing. And the flowers girls, soooo cute!
Helen Windsor looked lovely in Erdem but no one picked it up sadly.
Loved pippa’s dress but is it traditional for the maid of honour to wear white?
Amused by how many people are scandalized by Pippa’s white dress! As if Kate wouldn’t have picked this out herself! Nothing else was left to chance, I hardly think she would have said to her sister, “Go pick anything you want.” I’ve seen plenty of weddings where the whole bridal party wore white!
I am not scandalized but merely surprised because although I live in the uk have always lead to believe that only the bride wears white. Of course Catherine was part of the decision in picking this dress
Splendid as well.
I prefer this dress to Kate’s.
The new Princess was lovely in her dress but her little sis is a stunner. What a good big sister Kate is! Pippa looked gorgeous enough to steal the spotlight – almost. Especially with those adorable little bridesmaids and pages, whose outfits were just perfect as well.
Love the dress, but her fake tan is awful. She’s so orange.
Pippa looked so beautiful. The dress was perfection. Simple and elegant. This family are clearly all knockouts.
This had more of a Wow factor than Kates dress…and it fits Pippa amazingly!
Beautiful!
She did wear an emerald green Temperley London gown to the dinner dance hosted by Prince Charles.
I also loved Pippa’s simple sheath dress which reminded me of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy wedding dress but I prefer the covered silk buttons detail at the back of Pippa’s dress. Dare i say it but i think Pippa is much prettier than her Catherine and i found myself thinking she would be a perfect match for Harry
I agree with Stylish1- Pippa’s dress reminded me of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s wedding dress. I also agree that Pippa’s dress looked gorgeous- stunning, even- but I found it quite inappropriate for a ‘bridesmaid’s dress, especially one who is your sister. it did not fit the overall spiritual/solemnity of Westminster Abbey, nor did it fit the bride’s choice- and these concerns, in my mind, ought to have taken precedent. Pippa’s dress hints at ‘stealing thunder’ from the bride- and also hints at a young woman who was thinking along “me, me, me” lines- which is fine for another occasion.. but not for April 29, 2011 at 11 am.
great model . i love her
