Madame Hélène David-Weill and Ralph Lauren hosted a Private Dinner in Paris last night to celebrate the opening of “L’Art de l’Automobile : Masterpieces of the Ralph Lauren Collection.”
They invited many celebrity guests who all wore Ralph Lauren.
Mélanie Thierry: A cream summery beige Ralph Lauren Collection crochet dress, paired with a Ralph Lauren shoulder bag and YSL Tribute sandals created this relaxed contemporary look.
Emmanuelle Béart: The French actress looked elegant wearing a black Ralph Lauren Collection jumpsuit with a black beaded Ralph Lauren Collection clutch.
Zhang Ziyi: The Asian beauty opted for a head to toe Ralph Lauren Collection look, which included a grey suede asymmetrical dress with dazzling gold sandals and a silver clutch.
David Gandy: The supermodel arrived in a 3 piece Ralph Lauren Collection suit with his new girlfriend, Mollie King from the Saturday’s. She looked beautiful in a head to toe cute black ensemble.
Michelle Yeoh: The actress also arrived with her partner. Michelle opted for a Ralph Lauren strapless black dress which had an ivory trim. Ralph Lauren accessories completed her look.

This event was easily dominated by the asians. Both Zhang Ziyi and Michelle Yeoh (am I right in thinking they were in Memoirs of a Geisha together?) bring elegance and an air of chic un matched by their fellow atendees, even the french, who ironically are known for being chic. Mollie loks beautiful but I just don’t think it quite fits with the event, it seems more young and contemporary, and nightlife-y (can’t fin the right words) than a Ralph Lauren Event.
I like Zhang’s look.

i don’t think Amy is trying to be mean-spirited, i think shes just saying that while we may find ziyi an exotic beauty her looks in china are not that special. I can believe that. I suppose i would say the same to any foreigner who thought that jennifer aniston was an ‘american beauty”. I would tell them jennifer is quite average here and we have much prettier girls as well.

Ziyi Zhang claimed she had raised one million US dollars in Cannes, 2008 for sichuan earthquake victims. But 2 years later, people found she never send any money to any earthquake victim since her charity foundation has been founded. She has zero credit and is lying about the amount of the charity money donated by oversea people,
Its not true! Ziyi donated 0.8million(as she claimed to donate 1million) actually. But i dun think she is a liar. I think she is a good person, and everyone will make a mistake. Moreover, this incident is a farce from beginning to end. Its said that a group of backstabber is plotting against her. I love her!!! Whoohoo!
Do NOT try to confuse people, it’s useless. Zhang claimed she donated two amounts of money. One is 1 million RMB by herself, another one is 1 million USD from her charity foundation. Her foundation was founded in 2008 and She claimed she collected 1 million USD in Cannes 2008 from oversea contributors and sent all the money to Chinese government, but it’s totally untrue! Not a penny was sent to earthquake victims from her charity foundation and the 1 million USD disappeared. In 2010, people found the truth of her charity foundation and zhang started to deny the 1 million USD and changed the amount to 500k, then less than 50k. Zhang refuses to provide her charity foundation’s official bank statement to public, and deleted the ’1 million USD donation’ charity statement from her official website. She and her team also pay money to delete all the negative queries from public on all the major forums in China.
Due to her suspected charity fraud and scandal, all the international brands such as Benz, Maybelline, OMEGA and Armani didn’t renew Ad contracts with her. She has zero credit.
