It should come as no surprise that one of the most photographed collections for Spring 2011, would be a source of inspiration for other brands.
Topshop has been inspired by Prada’s striped skirt, to produce a similar version at a much lower price.
With stripes and colour-blocking a big trend this season, we’ve spotted Diane Kruger, Lily Allen, Hailee Steinfeld and Street-Style photographer Tamu McPherson in Prada stripes.
The fuchsia and navy striped skirt from Topshop is true to Prada’s design. The stripes appear to be the same size with the fit hitting slightly below the knee of Topshop’s version.
The Prada skirt is approx £395, but TopShop’s skirt is a wallet friendly $66 from Tophop US or £32 from Topshop International.
Prada’s Spring 2011 collection is so hot right now that it has graced 15 covers so far worldwide.

I can now get my skirt!! as they sold out weeks ago in Prada. From memory the Prada skirt is £395 so a little bit less expensive. It really is stunning with just a plain white cotton skirt.
Thank you.
I just ordered this skirt from the Bond Street store. I’ve become obsessed with it
Me too. I might do the same -Will it take 45 days to get-I am still waiting for my green lurex bannans and pink top? It is such a sexy skirt-pictures don’t do it justice. it will look wonderful on you
Hopefully mine won’t take that long as I want to wear it now
FC are you buying the Topshop skirt or the real deal?
the real deal. I ordered it from the Bond Street store today
Luigi at Sloane Street found me one! I hope to pick it up on Saturday.
Excellent. It would be funny if we bumped into each other during Fashion Week wearing the same skirt
I don’t order clothes online, and we don’t have a TopShop here in Houston. I would love to have a Prada version, but I just can’t afford it.
