The Elle Women in Music Event took place at the Music Box in Hollywood, California last night.
I have to say it was one of the worst dressed events (save Sophia Bush) I have seen this year.
Robyn: The Prada wedges don’t work with her ill fitting, poorly modified Alexander McQueen dress plus her Cambridge Satchel Company neon yellow clutch is too big for the red carpet and to stark for her look.
Miranda Cosgrove: At this point I’m going to start begging her to just stop wearing shoes on the red carpet. Minus the shoes, this was a cute McQ Fall 2011 look.
Solange Knowles: You lost me with that bra top…oh and that hat.
Kara DioGuardi: Those Sergio Rossi shoes are so 2 seasons ago, but that dress should have never happened.
Hayley Williams: The stripes on her dress are going in so many different directions that I’m getting motion sickness.
Gillian Jacobs: Must try harder.

Miranda was the only one on this post with any ANY possible hope for a good outfit. I actually am quite liking the change in makeup, although I loved her fresher look, but I ahte the new ‘edgy’ way she is going. Too pre-nightmare Taylor Momsen for mee, which is a scary thought, as I adored Miranda cosgrove. I always think her and subtelty (and different shoes) go beautifully together.
Also, isn’t it ironic that Miranda got chastised for those hideous miumiu strappy shoes, and not only did she then go on to worse ones, but Hayley Williams is now wearing them. How sad.
Ugh….Solange is so frustrating! I know must be hard living in your uber-diva sister’s shadow, but this look is trying too hard. I wish she’d hurry up and find herself already.
And what’s wrong with 2 seasons ago shoes. Some folks are on a budget. It’s still a recession here in the good ol’ U.S. (lol)
I actually don’t mind hayleys dress. It’s exactly her style and it looks good with her hair color. She almost reminds me of Shirley Manson. Shirley is so much cooler though
