Saoirse Ronan In Chanel – “Hanna” New York Screening

Saoirse Ronan attended the screening for her new movie, “Hanna” at Regal Union Square Stadium in New York City last night.

The young actress wore a Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 dress with Jimmy Choo ‘Zone’ silver strappy sandals.

It’s so refreshing to see someone other than the usually suspects wearing Chanel.

Her multi-coloured metallic polka dot halter dress, has an exquisite bejeweled neckline and is also accented with an embellished waistband.

I love that she let the dress do all the talking, opting for fresh neutral make-up and minimal jewels.

She’s a BDOTW contender in my opinion.

It’s nice to see somebody new wearing Chanel. I really like this dress, BDOTW contender, but maybe not winner.

BDOTW!! She looks great and age-appropriate!

I love this dress! And it’s so breath taking in the model! But Saoirse looks pretty good as well.

Ooh, this was one of my favourites from what I think have been a couple of lacklustre recent Chanel collections, and it looks so pretty on her. What a classy teen. Definitely worthy of a BDOTW nomination.

wow I love it! agree – BDOTW nominee!

I like the dress, but it is overwhelming this little bit of a girl (and the runway model too). I think it would look much better on a tall dramatic type of woman.

The dress is beautiful but it doesn’t fit properly. NOT a contender for BDOTW.

I don’t like the length. On the runway it’s cute, but on her it ages her. This kind of remind me of a typical Carey Mulligan look.

bdotw for sure. amazing. great shoes too! and she’s not even 17 yet??? crazy.

    She looks great!

  13. Gretta April 7, 2011 at 18:11 #

She looks stunning, better than the model. Class personified. BDOTW

This is not my favorite dress … I think it is a little too big and the skirt is a horrible in-between length (especially when combined with the shoes).

But, I love her. I love the hair and the makeup and the fact that she’s so talented, only 17 and looks fresh faced. She doesn’t look like she’s trying too hard to be sexy … she looks like herself. For that, I can give her BDOTW.

As much as I appreciate Karl Lagerfeld trying to create new sillouhettes and innovative pieces, as he has obviously tried to do with this, by dropping the waistline and using an unconventional length, I think he’s failed quite badly here. The cut looks cheap and I don’t think the ‘hippie’ vibe is appropraie for Chanel at all. The only thing I like is the use of colour with the sequins against the black. Maybe this is supposed to be a more 1920’s style look, but I still really dislike the length. X

am I the only one who isnt too crazy about this dress? something about the length/fullness of the skirt. can’t quite put my finger on it!

Me too…Not BDOTW contender in my opinion..

I’m with you. I am just not a fan of ankle-length dresses; I prefer them either full-length or shorter at the knee. And I think the super strappy sandals are a little busy, since the dress is so busy as well.

I must be in a minority by it doesn’t suit her IMO

She looks amazing. I love this look.

This look is fine, rather frumpy and boring imo. I do prefer the runway look hands down. I am just not an overall fan of this Chanel line I suppose. It is FAR from BDOTW for me.

absolutely beautiful. the dress, the make-up everything is perfect.

  21. Sophia April 7, 2011 at 14:44 #

I agree, I think this is definitely a BDOTW worthy look. The dress is amazingly beautiful. I’m always excited to see a celebrity wearing Chanel but I have a feeling that whenever they do so, they try to play it safe mostly. I’d love to see someone who really owns their look. Nevertheless, it’s a great look for Saoirse.

She looks totally gorgeous–BDOTW contender for sure

  23. frommdq April 7, 2011 at 14:27 #

    BDOTW for me too!

  24. Vidhya April 7, 2011 at 14:27 #

    So beautiful….. BDOTW!!!

  25. Terry April 7, 2011 at 14:25 #

She’s very cute. Love the dress and the fresh make-up. I don’t like her blonde hair, though: I prefer her as a brunette.
